I was thinking the same thing. Endless mode. They could turn this into something like "Death Must Die" game or maybe "Hades" is closer to my thoughts? IDK. You're onto something though and maybe this isn't exactly "it" but combining the other Deep Rock game's concept with DRG: Survivor would be interesting to see and play.

Chance for a double crit...bascially doubling your crit damage. so 105% crit, gives you a 5% chance to double crit.

It’s not unique, a ton of games do this. Some games carry the crit chance over to crit damage, some do double crits.

No, there's double crits in this game. Anything over 100% has a chance to proc a double crit for more damage.
