The only thing i hate about this update is the fact they took away Rex's charge ability. Also Sarco just doesn’t have the stam regen needed to properly make use of their grab ability and it also takes away their ability to use their charge bite.
I have no idea why they would remove his charge. All other apexes, minus spino, have it. Also the PT rex has red herring which makes it a superior ambusher. I like the stomp and face tank addition but charge removal is sad
Is anyone else noticing the Face Tank ability not working? I did a test. 2 rexs; 1 attack sub w/ face tank and lone hunter vs 1 bone break rex w/o face tank and w/ lone hunter. We did 5 bites to the head each. 5 from one rex, then screenshot from rex that took damage, and then vice versa. Our health (me being attack rex) looked exactly the same. Doing the math, 5 hits from me should do 452 damage (attk rex 3% + LH 10%) and 5 hits from him shouldve done ~308 (BB rex LH 10% - 30% from my FaceTank) you would think that would be a noticeable difference but if anything the difference came from my extra 3% extra damage i had. For now i also use crushing bite because FT appears broken. Sorry for long post but i was excited for this and wanted to see it work
I think attack rex really only comes in handy for other apexes. For the small creatures it doesn't really decrease how many bites it takes to kill em but it will give you the lead in a facetank against another rex and a bigger one against other apexes. This vid really shows how useful deep rumble is.
The bataar subspecies is definitely the way to go for tanking. I made a mistake choosing sanguis for my tank rex build and now I'm stuck with it lol. Great build showcase!
I was trying to find out the button to shake the raptors off, but I couldn't find it, so I bought the slick scales. But, thanks to you, I learned it. I've been trying to grow my rex for a long time but I keep dying. I'm finally at the end of the last sub bar, and I'm sure this video will help me. Thanks!
That double raptor stomp was great :) I want to get back on rex but i have a lot of work to do. Have to swap my subspecies (im not even sure what it turned into now post update, but i was planning on switching to attack) and i have to farm the marks to get all the new abilities.
Yeah I believe the rex sub species and the bataar sub species are the best ones. The bone break sub species is only useful when the bone break hits after that it's not helping you out that much. But still it's not bad
I do have a new updated Rex build that I'm soon going to upload. But the only real big change is that instead of using tail attack, I now use balance tail
Hmmm idk I think facetank is v good especially with deep rumble like you're so tanky vs and any other apex but then again the quick bonesnap comes in handy a lot I'd reckon it's just preference.

Great video man! My only question is did you use crushing bite in any of those fights? I didn’t see them bone broken, so it looked like you just straight up normal bit them to death. If you did use it, then how do you decide when to weave it in and sacrifice damage?
Hey thanks for checking out the video! Umm I actually think most of the fights I take in that build video are straight up bite battles 😂. Another reason why I don't equip slick scales because I feel like it takes out the fun out of the raptors. For the longest time the raptors finally get to be viable and that hide just takes out the point of the update which is the pounce mechanic. I do want people to have a good time playing raptors and not making them switch back to there rexes or eotriceras etc just cause of one hide. Like I always say when I'm a laten "If you have slick hide on, you hate fun".😂
@@DeinoChenus no I have a Brian. Anyone with a brain knows officials are dumb, I know for a fact I’m right about what I said tho. Every will say that who plays officals and will immediately advocate for the move to be removed like the ano hunker situation 😂
Umm I think Facetank is useful in both situations. Facetank is really good for fighting other apexs and getting the kill on them. But Facetank isn't good for slowing a smaller dino, like stago, or allo, school, styra... So with Facetank on its probably better in a group. When you play solo at least for me, I want to have the option to win and secure kills and trophy's. But if you get jumped a lot then Facetank would help defend you a bit better. Also you don't need Facetank on to kill a rex that is running Facetank, I have tested it.

@@ambush501st I used the red with 15% bone break and for some reason it was just so much slower had less stam and turn radius was much slower so glad I found this video as my new rex is just so much more enjoyable
I haven't had any trouble with fighting Apexs or raptors. But this build might no be for you if you are having trouble fighting in path of titans. I appreciate you checking out the video tho!
