I had to skip the Salvation Army half off sale on New Year’s Day. Too much going on and not enough money to invest 🤷🏻‍♀️. I always figure that there will be other SA sales throughout the year. Plus with buyers low-balling, it wasn’t a good time for me. You had fantastic sales - I enjoy your hard good items so much. Congrats !! 🩷💚

I agree this is the best time of year to source and sell! I bought 9 pairs of shoes (. 3 were new) at GW for $36. Hoka, Nike, Stuart Weitzman. Normally this GW would price these 3-4 times higher.

I’m glad you’ve found some great stuff too! My GW had the prices somewhat low at the end of the year, but now they’ve skyrocketed. I’ve noticed the pricing is somewhat cyclical. Still trying to figure out how it works. I’ll definitely be hitting up the half off color day because I bet some of those high priced items will still be there. Happy New Year!

Thank you!!! I’m so glad you’re selling belts! I try not to let low ballers get to me, depends on the day though. 😂 I almost always counter offer too, sometimes we end up coming to a fair price.

as a person who buys a lot of dry clean only clothing second hand, I will still dry clean an item even if the person selling it says it has been cleaned. So I don’t worry about doing so. I have also made a good relationship with my local cleaners because yes it is super expensive!!!

Was the sale of the two goblets and the pitcher going to the same buyer? They are just gorgeous. I love it that you sell such elegant and classy items through Chairish. I imagine they have a more wealthy clientele? But, I’m so glad that these treasures don’t end up in a landfill . What a tragedy that would be.

Hi Sharon ☺️ It was two different buyers, and there were actually 10 goblets in the set that sold. I held my breath that they would all arrive safely, they were very heavy. I really do think it is a wealthy clientele and interior designers buying on Chairish. Thank you for watching! 😘

Your info gave me hope...lol Do you use a jewelry scale to weight the pieces for sale? I really love the plaid coat! Plaid is a staple in my wardrobe. Happy New Year to you too!

Thank you! Yes I use a jewelry scale, and I typically include the weight in my listings. This necklace took a long time to sell, but I think it’s definitely worth listing and waiting for the right buyer. 😘
