I know, this is an extremely excessive amount of Bibles for one (1) person to have, but I promise that I love them all and use a lot of them all the time, and some every single day! I also am very open to giving some away if I feel led to do so (I actually have like 6 Bibles I'm already planning to give away that I did not include in this video). My husband became a Christian at the age of 40 ish, and he bought several children’s Bibles and read those before the regular Holy Bible. It helped him so much because he didn’t know anything at all about the stories that I grew up knowing. I thought it so strange that he didn’t even know the history of Noah, the ark, and the rainbow. 🌈 We have a lot of Bibles as well, I have the same passion. My daughter lost my childhood Bible that I loved, it had a picture of Jesus holding the children and ministering to them. I search the thrift stores trying to find one like it, I also had a precious moments one too.

This was such a sweet video. It's so heartwarming and refreshing to see much a young person so in love with the Bible. You will treasure your collection more and more as you get older. I'm old enough to be your grandma, and I wish I had bibles from different stages of my life, but I didn't really become a serious Christian until fairly recently.

@@rebeccaly I have a lot of Bibles also. It costs $18 to $20 for a Devotional that covers a few weeks, but you can get a new devotional Bible that takes you through the year for $40 to $45. I am convinced I am saving money. LOL. Dancing in the Desert was one of my first devotional Bibles. I loved it. HCSB is now CSB (they just removed Holman from the title.

For me, it's study Bibles. Each study Bible has its own unique content. They're based Bibles combined with another book that's about the Bible

I love your bible collection.... I have quite a large bible collection as well.... I understand what you said about self control... but I think we both agree...... God understands if we are zealous, .or wanting over, the things of God... I asked my pastor one time about my spending on Bibles and commentaries.. and he agreed ... we can't go wrong following after things of God. .. keep following your dream...

Hi Jeff, I appreciate your comment. I think sometimes I feel conviction for owning so many Bibles and not using them all often...like I care more about the materialistic aspect of the Bible more than spending time with God...or that my Bibles have to look a certain way because I know other people will see them... That's when I feel like I'm making my Bibles an idol, even if it's a good thing...it's still a sin to put anything or anyone ahead of God. Feel free to agree or disagree, but this is my personal conviction. Really appreciate your comment though. I do agree that we should always go after the things of God (as long as we don't put them before God Himself). Blessings to you.

Study Bibles have different types of info, devotional Bibles have different devotions, and journaling Bibles have their own special features too. Again, not even getting into the premium realm yet! You have a beautiful collection, and your passion genuinely shows. Do not let anyone or anything dim your light. It shows so brightly. I just started bible journaling a few months ago. I was raised and practice as a Catholic, which I have learned recently gives me strange looks in the Christian community, but I wish we had more beautiful bibles to choose from. I have only been able to find two bibles that I love so far. The Inspire Catholic journal in large print and my current study bible which is the NAB from Our Sunday Visitor Publishing Division. (Found it on amazon! LOLZ!) I wish that there were more options to find as many beautiful bibles that the diocese approve of. I wish I had a collection as beautiful as yours. Maybe with time. Someday! :)

Thank you for sharing your Bible collection! I love them all! I too have a collection (28 so far): some are from when I taught Sunday School classes, some are my own personal collection, some are from when my sons where very young. But my favorites are my Journaling Bibles. I love note taking but also using art to illustrate the message I'm receiving. The visual images help to embed the message into memory. Thank you again!

Bible journaling also changed my life!! Also, you really can understand the passage more when there are commentaries and notes, or when you read on some different translations. And I have been looking up a lot of bible online but they just remain on my wishlist since they're a bit expensive 😭 would be nice if I bought them when I could tho.

AHHH I completely agree! It’s hard for me to find the balance of having self control and not buying soo many bibles that I can’t really use them, but also having some regrets when I see a Bible on sale that went back to original price 😭 Bibles really are so expensive.. I’d really recommend you look into ChristianBook if you haven’t already! I always look at their bargain Bibles because they go up to around 80% off! :)

I own the ESV Study Bible (Heirloom Edition), HCSB Study Bible (Personal Size), Biblia De Estudio Mundo Hispano (Study Bible in Spanish), an ESV Bible (2011 text), and The Action Bible (Updated edition), and I thought I had way too many. Your video has proved me wrong. 🤣😂🤣😂

Hahaha you have a lot of great Bibles!! I have a really crazy collection but I’m in some bible journaling groups and the ladies in there have upwards of 50-100 Bibles! It’s kind of crazy haha. I enjoyed your video, I love and have kept all my Bibles from the time I was saved in 1977, I have 39 and use each of them. Every year I get a new TCR, a journalling Bible. Over the years I love Surgeon, MacArthur study Bible's

I have several copies of the abide Bible which is a study bible. Also own several Scofield study Bibles, old copies, but were excellent when they were printed. How interesting if one could combine that edition with a journaling pattern. Unfortunately the ßcofield bible is out of print. But I'm thinking of getting a journal and somehow developing a combined program of the two. See what might happens....

I loved your video so much because my Bible Collection is somewhat like yours. (😂Smile). I was laughing because I was thinking the same way you were about buying so many Bibles. That's a great collection! The Allan was my favorite. If you haven't done it before I challenge you to begin 2023 reading fifteen chapters a day from Genesis 1:1 keep it at fifteen a day, and in ninety days you'll be through the Bible, it's a great way to begin the year.

Oh my goodness, I still have my bible as a kid that my mom gave to me when I was a toddler as well and then when you pulled out the NIV Adventure Bible that was also, what my mom gave me when I got a bit older and I still have that bible today at 25 years old and it's still of good use. I honestly refer to that bible so, much when I'm reading the main one that I brought myself.

Hi Rebecca, it is such a beautiful blessing when you reply to my comments! I often desire to be a healing presence, however I have the bad mental habit of thinking too much of negativity and grudges that I have hung onto. God put it on my heart that, to be a healing presence I need to empty my mind and heart of all the ill will and replace it with more of jesus, then his healing spirit can really flow through me. Oh I know! I have a gigantic list of Bibles to purchase, but...I feel bad because I need to finish all the ones I already have! Next on my list is the John MacArthur NKJV study bible and the NKJV Journal the Word Bible...also, I want the NLT Life application study Bible like yours, AND the CSB womens study bible! I had over 70 gorgeous Bibles and gave some away to family because I wanted to spend more time in my favorites. Pretty much all the popular ones and even more, I had bought. Coloring, journaling, study, etc. I have to admit that I think the She Reads Truth Bible had wayyyy too thin pages for my liking. But it was a nice Bible. I've had the Poppy Linen and the Rose Gold ones. I like In Courage. I have tons of study Bibles anyhow. My favorite versions are KJV, NIV, NLT, CSB, NASB, NKJV. And in that order. I read some of the ESV and the NET Bible. But they're not my personal favorites and for word accuracy, I love NASB. Poetic and also word accurate, KJV. Easy and smooth reads, NLT, NIV, CSB.

Aw, you moved me to tear when you talked about the one bible you would take if your house got burn down, you would bring it with you. I’m also in the same direction :))), during this COVID time, I have purchased 2 more and about to purchase more too. I guess I also lack of self control on this too :))) I bought mines because each of them have a thing that I like ( such as Quest study bible (the blue leather exactly like yours) , Holman Rainbow bible, cultural background study bible), and I’m about to buy more “note taking” type of bible. I m thinking of buying the Jesus bible and the Journal the Word Bible. Oh I love blue too and I like it that you use the tab on top, not on the side. (I will do the same for my new bible ) I love cute things too. I’m litterally watching your video and writing these comments as I watch. And you had your Vietnamese Bible... Me tooooooo. So sweet of you, and more than that, a girl who goes after His words!!!! Love that. You encouraged me. I pray that my 3 years old girl will grow up loving His words too. Hopefully my growing collection would be treasure to her too. :) She has the first bible that you had too. My aunt gave her his son’s. Lol so it’s hand me down, but she loves it and you know what, my daughter also have a lot of bibles already, all illustrated ones. Every night she would ask me and her dad to read at least 3 stories from one of her collection bibles. Nice to watch your video, very heart warming. And out of the topic, I really like the light decoration too. I want to do it for my girl too :) God bless you!

You are such a sweetheart and believe me there are far worse addictions than an addiction to owning Bibles - it looks like it’s a real passion and you enjoy them and I’m sure you will grow in your faith as a result. I have 10 Bibles that I use for different purposes and I use them ALL. I did not know there was a multiple Bible purpose other than different translations etc, but I’ve come to realize that by using them for different purposes, I am drawn to the Word with a thirst because I’m excited to read/study/journal/enjoy worshipful artistic expression and USE my Bibles and it’s a passion not a chore.

The fact that the small Blue bible had stars about prophecy’s and then, them being fulfilled was my favorite thing honestly😢!

I am super attached to my Beautiful Word Bible but I think I’ll retire it this year and move onto the next one in 2021! I also LOVE the stars and the fulfilled prophecies! You make me feel better about my collection :) You're missing the granddaddy of them all, the Thompson Chain. It comes in several versions and doesn't have commentaries, but I think more graphs and charts and etc than any other. It used to be the one required in seminaries.

I don't think you can have too many Bibles. I'd like to have at least one Bible in different translations. I wouldn't get the Message translations, but I would like to have one in the ASB, NASB, RSV, NRSV, CSB, LSB, NLT, and the NIV. The Bible I take with me to church is a KJV Center Column Reference Bible in brown Leathersoft, from Thomas Nelson that I got for my birthday last year in May, and the one I'm currently reading through is a NKJV MacArthur Study Bible, also in brown Leathersoft, also from Thomas Nelson, that I got last year from Christmas. I agree with you about people spending hundreds of dollars on a Bible, but then again, people spend ten times that much on iPhones. My two Leathersoft Bibles both cost less than $100, and they're great Bibles. They both have the perimeter stitching, they're both line matched, printed on 36 gsm paper with the comfort print from 2k Denmark, they're both line-matched, As far as I can tell, the only difference between them and Premium Bibles is they don't have the art gilding, they have 2 ribbons instead of 3 and because they're made from synthetic leather, they don't have a smell to them. But the text inside them is the same, and that's what's important. No offense to anybody that has a Premium Bible, There is a part of me that would like to own one someday, but if I don't, I won't lose any sleep over it. And talking about being a Bible addict, that's not such a bad kind of addict to be, if you ask me

Thanks so much for watching and being here. I appreciate your thoughtful comment! I too would love to have one of every translation sometime. Line matched Bibles are the absolute best. I don't know if I would personally spend that much money on a Bible for myself, but maybe for a big life event. For now, I'm super thankful for the ones I do already have. My unpopular opinion is that I actually like hardcover Bibles because they make notetaking in the pews (and anywhere) super easy...especially compared to softcover or imitation leather covers. Sure, they don't last as long but I always have a nice surface to write my notes, even when I'm not sitting at a desk. I was so so so blessed to receive a premium Bible as a gift, but I agree that what's on the inside is all that matters. And all God cares for is our heart. @@rebeccaly I wouldn't spend a lot of money on Bibles either. If I had to get them all in hardcover, that will be fine. I mainly want them just to read. As for Premium Bibles, I have nothing against owning one if I could afford it. I just want to be sure I buy it for the right reason, not for all the "bells and whistles", as Tim Nickels calls it. But, to be honest, I don't see any reason to buy a Premium Bible when a non- Premium imitation leather Bibles serves the same purpose. Of course I know you didn't buy your Premium Bible, it was gifted to you by Pastor Brett. I wouldn't mind if someone gifted me with one, but I wouldn't buy one for myself. Not that I'm expecting that to happen. Thank you. I enjoy my Bibles. I also have a hardcover Bible in the Today's English Translation and I have a Scofield KJV Reference Bible from 1909 that belonged to my grandmother.
