I really think you should consider doing a Kickstarter to release your whole sketchbook for this project as a book which includes pages of the final paintings, or at least you should make a zine from this project. Your prep work for this piece added a lot of dimension and depth to viewing the finished painting and it’s a shame not to see them together in context. Just followed you on insta, your work is very charming and the bird-love shines through :)
Aww thank you so much and sorry for the slow reply! I would absolutely love to make the project in to a book at the end. I have lots of ideas and it would be nice to show people some of the sketches and planning that goes in to the project. I’m hoping to get more time soon to start working on it again but I’m so grateful for the comment! 😊
Beautiful! I don’t know how you do when it comes to finishing projects but please keep going because you are an inspiration to me. I have wanted to a similar project with the wild herbs and plants around the area I live. So…. Maybe. Like you said in the video, I can’t keep putting it off. (It’s only been 20 years or so🫤)🤞
Thankyou so much! I will stick at this project even if I need little brakes in between to focus on other things. That’s why I picked something I knew I would enjoy to draw as well. That sounds like a grate idea! You should definitely give it a go and remember you don’t have to rush you can take your time with this type of project :)
Love your work. It would be great if you listed the names of your products as you use them or in a paragraph down below the video. I learn a lot from seeing that information. thank you.
I’m going to try this with flowers. I ordered and received a lovely book called Flower Color Guide by Darroch and Michael Putnam. It’s a small chubby book with 415 pages of crisply printed photos of flowers on white background starting with white all the way to deepest maroon. My drawing skills are pathetic as yet and my painting even worse. Colored pencils and pastel chalk not so bad. But you’ve once again inspired me to just do it!💕
I will have to check that book out it sounds like a good one, iv been looking for some good flower reference books so thanks for mentioning it. Just go for it! The most important thing is that you enjoy wat you do and just improve at your one pace. I’m so glad you’re feeling inspired again that lovely to hear! Keep it up! :)
I get that feeling to sometimes XD, maybe use one sheet to play around on so you can get a feel for how it works with your paint. But remember it’s just paper, go for it! :P
