First, u made a good choice but let me help u out some.. im 1 week post big chop and all i can tell u is watch anthony dickey method (find him on you tube) he is an actual hairdresser btw…and u will learn how to care for ur natural hair so that its curly and shiny all day. all i do is cowash, then leave in conditioner, curling gel and regular gel- done. My hair is extremely similar to yours what I found to makes my hair the most defined and could is definitely mane choice hair products. In my opinion they are a little pricey, but they work very well for my hair type. I also have quite frizzy hair so give those a try. I use their biotin products they come in purple and black containers
