I'd keep the Disney 4Ks. I absolutely don't trust that Disney Plus is here to stay. It's struggling. They will eventually raise rates or have different tiers, etc. I'm patiently waiting for cheap Marvel 4Ks from Ironman to EndGame. I don't really care about them past that.
Keep all the Disney titles. You said DIsney+ is cheap... won't stay that way forever. I'd keep those classics in 4K for sure. Great score btw, I'm jealous. Esp the Sony Classics 4K titles.
I have 4 out of the 5 Paul Verhoeven films I've seen in 4K: Robocop (Arrow Limited Edition), Total Recall, Showgirls (Vinegar Syndrome Ultra), and Starship Troopers (Steelbook, though I honestly prefer that cover art you have). I'll eventually get Basic Instinct. I need to see his other films.
Amazing Haul 😲 Have not been able to find those kind of lots here at all for years. All the lots are just 50 BRs of the lowest value crap people wouldnt take for free :D But what works for me is to buy 4Ks used and sell the BR that usually comes with it, most of the time i get at least half the money back :D
@@BluRayBanditI have a lot of spare BR-Cases left from over the years, so i usualy print a replacement-Cover on normla printing-paper and sell the BR with pictures and a clear description that it is a self-printed replacement-cover. People still buy it and leave positive feedback. This is especially a good option when i buy a newer Release where the 4K cost 20-30ish. then i sell the BR with the replacement-cover for 10 to 15ish. But it is also a good option for used 4Ks. Sometimes i sell the BR for more or the same then i bought the 4K+BR used.
Online streaming is becoming increasingly unreliable for retention of movies you wish to watch. Disney+, Netflix and other have even removed their own content (not just licenced from elsewhere).
Kinda jealous you guys have Toy Story and other old-school Disney/Pixar movies on 4K in the US. Here in germany they only ever released The Lion King on 4K but nothing else for some reason.
Kinda crazy how you wanna sell your sealed copies while keeping the used, grimy and damaged ones. I'd probably do the exact opposite. I really care about the condition of the stuff I own but I guess if it's about making the most money, selling the sealed ones is smarter.
A few things... 1) My collecting strategy is for the hobby to pay for itself. My whole collection was free, in the end. In fact it was better than free - I make money while collecting, and put it all back into the collection, so it grows as I go without getting more expensive. 2) Most eBay lots are first owner sales, meaning someone bought them new and now is offloading their whole collection in one sale. Most of those titles are just like yours, condition-wise. Someone bought it, opened it, then put it on the shelf. They are, essentially, the same quality you have in your collection. They are not "grimy" and "damaged" as you put it. Pawn Shop titles on the other hand have the potential to be much more "grimy" and/or "damaged" - but, you can inspect them at the time of purchase. I'd only buy a "grimy" or "damaged" title in that case if a) it has value and a new case or cleaning would solve the issue or b) I really want it and the title is hard to find at a do-able price. Some people just can't stand the idea of buying used, I get it. I value a large inexpensive (or in my case free) collection over a small, flawless, expensive collection. To each his own!
