This video gives a good analysis on what your plans are and your aspirations. The one thing that I can confirm as a history professor here in the U.S. is that the powers that be do like to lump Ethiopian history and Egyptian history in with Oriental Studies. In the minds of many they think that because this two places have so much material culture that it has more ties to the Middle East which is wrong. When I do my lectures and create materials for my students I definitely put an emphasis on these civilizations being indigenous to the continent. And I can say that most younger students here in the U.S. get that but we still have the problem of trying to attach what we think of as being civilized with Europe and the Middle East. Please continue doing these videos sharing your experiences and opinions this is rather refreshing. de Han w' alu.
I forwarded with my family almost 15 years ago to Africa from America - although I have experienced many challenges, I have no regrets about the move. Your page resonates with me - thank you for sharing your journey!
First, let me state the obvious. You are beautiful, but your physical beauty is accentuated by your intelligence and compassion for Africa and its progeny. I pray that your influence grows through greater exposure. I would love to see you hook up with Wode Maya in that you seem to be of kindred spirits if I am discerning correctly. You each can benefit from sharing your followers if you haven’t already. Peace, blessings, and love to you my sister.
My good sister, thank you so much for sharing this content. I find it very disturbing that many of our brothers and sisters on the African continent and abroad are ignorant to the current state of our society in regards to historical and current efforts to keep us subjugated and without any power to improve our circumstances as a people. I will travel to Asia, March 31, training in martial arts, traveling and growing my RU-vid channel...eventually want to visit Africa! I also follow Arikana Chihombori-Quao and Professor James Small...I'm sure you are probably familiar with these names. Enjoyed listening to you so much....keep telling the truth! Respect!
My sister, I like the way you've tried to touch on curriculum comparison, you say these dude don't teach history of Trans-Atlantic Slaves Trade. I am a Kenyan and lives in Nairobi. We were tought even about Trans-Sahara Slaves Trade by Arabs, we know about Axum Empire, Kush Empire, Mansa Musa of Kingdom of Mali, Matebele Land Empire of Zimbabwe, Zulu Empire, Songhai Empire and Benin Empire, King Menelik l etc, we African have much to learn.
I really admire your ambition and dedication to inspiring people like me to make change in our continent. Glad to see someone else doing what I plan on doing and watching you only motivates me even more. Thank you for all your hard work and hopefully we can partner up on some projects in the near future with my expertise
This is really admirable! You are very thoughtful and intentional about what you are doing and why. I moved my family from the US back to Africa in 2009 for very much the same reasons. Brava!!
Hi, I just happened to come across your RU-vid channel while navigating, and I'm already liking the topics that you are discussing. I will be among your followers. I'm from Papua New Guinea.
I agree 100%. I don't get hatred and racism at all. Having lived in the US, my birth place and Europe. It's hard to live in a place where you don't feel welcomed. I wish you and you family the best of luck. May God bless you!
You are speaking the right words! I used also to live in Germany for more than 18 years and things are getting worse since then! The Germany golden years disappeared after the wall!
The act of "Anti-Black" in the absence of white presence". That statement has a very profound meaning to me and can become a MAJOR topic of concern which can be very difficult to explain.. It involves whitewashing which has caused Black race people to internally hate themselves,as well as anything positive which can elevate their status in world society.. During my undergraduate and graduate studies regarding the Aksumite, Kushites, Queen Makada; Makeda/Clovis (Queen of Sheba), the Ethiopian Gods that were founders of the first European civilization on the Island of CRETE, and known as MINOANS were all Black African as shown in their painted depictions.. The Chief Olympian Greek God known as "ZEUS" on the island of Chios had a chief title known as "A'ETHIOP", meaning "The Most Glorious Black".. i love African history, and in particular, ancient ETHIOPIAN and Somalian (Ancient PUNT) where all of the Black Egyptian Pharaohs would visit to worship the Major Gods...
It would have been beautiful if it were safe to live in Ethiopia, but not anymore since abiy Ahmed has been in power. I left Ethiopia when I was a child because of the Civil War when evil dictator mengstu Hailemarim was in power me and my mom and sister ran barefoot to Sudan, and we lost my dad and everything we had as a child I was traumatized and now it happened again but much worse than ever.
Humble, open minded, and inclusive for your mother land. I heard you are running NGO. I appreciate what you weere doing to support Tigrian ethics( your ethic)10,000kG corn but there are more than 10 million Amhara ethic cleansing needed urgent support as well. When we think as one ethiopian we can make a difference.
I‘m very sorry to see what is happening in the Amhara region. I wish I could help but my NGO is very little and has no capacity. We are currently overwhelmed with helping the 2 mio Internally displaced people who were brutally displaced and survived ethnic cleansing in Western Tigray by Amhara Militia and officials. That’s a huge task believe me 😭
amhars they are self important people, help ur peole in tigray with the little ur ngo has.am not even from ethiopia but amharas their are trouble some,@@planB-BacktoAfrica
Sister, could you create a reel compilation of this video for your Instagram reel as well? There are so many important and profound areas discussed, especially regarding your children, what you want for them, their Africanness, and Africa as a whole moving forward. Please make a reel so that we can reshare this message with our own followers, many of whom are Gen Z and millennials already contemplating leaving the Western Hemisphere to return to the continent of their ancestry
Beautiful mum, beautiful woman, she doesn’t have to a “ wife” … she’s just a beautiful soul, proud black woman. When ANY man ups and say “definitely wife” BS it’s possession. RESPECT FIRST, then PARTNERSHIP, NOT WIFE! I am Man and I’m saying this from my heart. You can’t lead if you can’t follow. His comments was based on ONLY on her appearance.
Hey Weini; your values go with the Eritrean self-reliance and pan Africanism; why don’t you visit Asmara and see people your kind! By the way Eritrea has nothing against Tigrayans.
You seem to be interesting... 🤎🤎 greetings from The Diaspora usa . I am building an open list of diaspora on the continent. you can add other diaspora you run into "if you want" . Long Live Sis
weyeni you have no idea how much i love your episodes but today some of your points made me disappointe, offcourse you came from Tigray community while you discloses the northen conflect you did not speak it in the way it should.please donit disseminate biased information.in additions to this one of the great humanitarian commitment is impartality but your NGO is working for your peoples only do you think it is the real picture of humanitarian principles??and core standard?as a humanitarian worker do you know the 9 core humanitarian standards??please do not feed wrong information for your followers
I wish I would’ve had the privilege of being raised to n Africa. The Oppressor took this privilege away from many of us and now most of us do not know our country of Origin in Africa. It’s so disturbing and disgusting!! 🤬😤🙄
Thanks for these personal insights! I grew up in Germany as well and would love for my children to have the experience to live on the continent for similar reasons too. At least for a few years. At the same time we're worried about finding a job, school for the children, language barriers etc. But I guess you just gotta take the risk. And your channel is very inspiring! Danke dafür!
