Well said and happy birthday! The main reason we begin to dread our birthday coming around is the idea that we are losing our youth. Which is highlighted how much so chronologically by the day we are born. The truth is we are very much like a fruit, we bloom, we develope, we become more and more what nature intended us to be as we ripen, then we begin to over-ripen (luckily over a long period of time in most cases), then we decay and expire completely. Realization of our own mortality is the cause of the existential dread that another complete year has passed by and has now ended. Chin up though, because it's exactly how it's meant to be and so are you.
