Very nice knife! Congrats. However the Statue of Liberty is made of copper not brass. It is beautiful though, enjoy your knife.

I live in Atlanta and I find the Blade Show rather depressing if you don't have at least $1,000 to spend preferably A LOT more

You can get by with $500 but that's really only 1 really nice knife. The ones I tend to gravitate towards are in that $250-$400 range. And yeah, the really nice stuff is upwards of $500. I bought a sword for $1100. Normally sells for $1350 so when you do like the rich stuff they do give substantial discounts. I always liked that about the show. So even if you don't bring loads of cash you do get good knives you wouldn't get otherwise.

I live north west of Atlanta and I’ve been to the Blade Show twice since it has started. The last time I went was maybe 20 years ago. I agree with you on the depression thing,it’s very hard to walk around with out a couple of thousand dollars seeing the fine blades that are beyond reason and reach for most people to justify.

You should try to get your hands on a Eutsler duk or dukling. IMO, it’s what the sebenza should have been. Insane ergos, details to the nines, bearing thumb stud action with a perfect detent. I think you’d fall in love if you really enjoy the rask, the duk(ling) will short circuit your brain

I have to disagree. It’s a nice knife but I really don’t like that bearing feel at all. I much prefer the hydraulic feel on a sebbie.

@@ImageLoXI agree. Very different knives and I like the seb for what it is. Only thing I don’t like about it is the lock bar flex due to the bearings on the frame lock

@@tyyamnitz8408 I use a 21, I think you're talking about a 31. But even the 31's wear in overtime and create a track for the ball to ride on and it reduces the flex. Basically it will go away with use.

Nice Rask dood! I almost picked up a Norseman the other day but ended up securing a Rosie instead. Had I not I would have picked up the Grimsmo instead. It was a 154cm model and they were "only" asking $650. Never carried LNIB on r/knifeswap. As usual awesome vid, was waiting to see what you got. What have you heard about blade show west? Is it worth going or is Atlanta that much better I should just hold off and go next year?

That KS is a nice effort. I just picked up a Bastinelli R.E.D. V2 in pretty good shape and really digging the smaller fixie. Haven't had a smaller one since I left the USA and all my hunting knives behind. The Grimso is off the hook sick. Love the color and design and starburst milling. Congrats. BTW new profile. other was hacked and cc charged. Chinese gangsters in Myanmar. old pf Bangkok. Cheers!

My leatherman is 440c and it suprises me everyday. Stays razor sharp and sharpens up in about 30 seconds.

Nice ad10 . I noticed the heat treat on the ad10 steel seemed to be good with the edge retention . It’s a disappointment to get a reputable quality knife and they dull super fast 😮. It’s happened a few times to all of us I’m sure . Sometimes they get better after a few sharpenings , sometimes it takes 10 😂. My spyderco rex45 m2 dulls super quick on my example . The m4 holds pretty good though , vg10 too . I think I just got a softy but maybe it will come around . I’m on the 4th sharpening .

Definitely a well rounded haul! Pry bar was a good grab and that little fixie is the perfect size and felt good in the hand. Love Original Goat and I’m kicking myself for not going over there especially now that I have the AD20 in the DayGlow G10 because I want to get aluminum or titanium bad! And the Rask… man oh man was that just a bad ass pick up and I’m glad you took the dive. It is an amazing knife that there aren’t a ton of floating around out there and the most unique blade drop I’ve ever experienced. It is functional art without a doubt a holy shit does it function well! Awesome experience at blade show with you guys and I hope we can make it happen again!
