Some pictures and video of my English Cocker Spaniel from 8 weeks to 1 year old. What a privilege it has been to watch this adorable puppy grow up to be an absolutely amazing dog.
Thank you for sharing this lovely video with the rest of us. I had to watch it several times in order to see it through to the end, because I cried when I tried to see it the first time. We lost our little black Cocker, Emma, two months and four days ago. We had the great privilege of sharing her company for 13 yrs. and 8 days after which she passed away due to old age. I cannot begin to tell you how much we - and maybe in particular I - still miss her. Very, very few things (and other dogs, if any) in life beats the affection, devotion and never ending tail-wagging from pure happiness that you get from a Cocker Spaniel. I have lost a few human companions along the way, and I am ashamed to say that the loss of Emma fills me with greater sadness in comparison. For all of you who still enjoy the company of a Cocker Spaniel I wish you many joy filled hours yet to come. Take good care of each other and cherish every moment. I hope some day we will meet each other on some sidewalk, when we have got a new Cocker... Sorry for the long text, thank you again for letting us get a small glimpse of your beautiful and happy dogs. I wish you all well.
We had to put our Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel down about 3 months ago. She had cancer and was in pain in the end. We had her for 13 years and loved her dearly. Her name was Millie. We miss her so much. The little puppy on the video reminds me of our Millie. As a family we are thinking of getting another Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel because our house is so quiet. Blue Roans are the way to go!!! They are the most loving and affectionate dogs.
My 15 year old Black Cocker Spaniel died just before Christmas, during the time we had him he provided both my wife and I with lots of love, all our grandchildren were trained by "Wallace"to look after him and provide him with his favourite treats, thank you Wallace for all the love we received from you.
We are heartbroken since lost our little cocker one month ago. He died leaving us bereft with sadness your video reminded us of all the good times we had with our T.O. Thank you.
I have a 10 and a half year old healthy and happy blue roan English Cocker too :D Beautiful dog, most playful boy in the world. Doesn't have the legs he used to but still up for anything. The most joyous and loving breed I have come across
I'm so happy to see that you really love your dogs. They are in great condition, beeeeautiful and very happy....When your video just started I couldn't hold myself for not crying, I miss my Cocker so much. I had one just like yours. Very smart, joyful, and gorgeous. Unfortunately, he passed away last year August 10th in a car accident at the year of 13. He can barely see and had difficulties to hear sounds. Even so he would still play with his favorite Gong's ball, looking for it with his great sense of smell...It's been 5 months and 4 days already since he's gone, I still can't get over it. I miss him so so so much. :'( They are great pets, friends and family. Give them as much love as you can because "dogs are the only animal that loves you more than they love themselves"
Thank you so much, great compilation of videos and fantastic action shot photos. I have been without my cocker for 2 years now and I think im ready for a new addition, watching this has just confirmed it.
such a lovely video and a beautiful dog! i used to have a blue roan cocker, and she looked almost exactly like yours, with that little white spot on top of her head. unfortunately, she got cancer and the vet had to put her down. it's about 2-3 years ago, but i still miss her so much and i couldn't help but cry my eyes out when i saw this video. but thanks for putting it up on youtube, it reminds me very much of all the good times i got to spend with my dog the 8 years i was blessed with her company.
I've just watched your video and enjoyed it so much, cocker spaniels are such sweet and loyal dogs. I lost my beloved blue roan cocker Molly 11 weeks ago (nov 15th) and I miss her so much, she was more than just a pet, she was a loyal friend she would have been 12 this February 6th, she had lung cancer and died within a week. Watching your video has brought back such beutiful memories, thank you for sharing xx
I cried too. Geri, I know how you feel. I lost my beloved gold cocker spaniel "Liebchen" (darling) on Dec 10 last year and miss her loving presence daily. She would have been 10 on Feb 8th. She was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve a year ago and was put on medication. We did absolutely all we could for her and while it's painful right now, we would not have missed one second of our time together. This video brought to life the joy of having a cocker spaniel in my life - the innocence, curiosity, playfulness and unconditional love. Thank you.
This is delightful :) I saw your video before getting our little Blue Roan Cocker and it made me long for her arrival even more. They are such an amazing breed. We sadly lost our previous Cocker (Lucy) at the age of 15 last year. It was a no brainer as to which breed of dog we would get to fill a little part of the gap that losing her left. Thank you for sharing this 'happy' video :)
My dog Ethel is also from Winfree. Opie is her dad. Had Lucy her sister who died a couple of years ago at age 6. Opie,s daughter too. I knew there was a family resemblance. Amazing. Epic is Ethel's mom
I see you have two Cocker Spaniel dogs. Are they related to each other, or are they from a total different family? Did you experience some trouble putting them together? :-)
Oh ok! We just got two little Cocker pups yesterday, and our 8 yo Cocker Spaniel does not seem to like them. She's not really interested, and if they come close to her or try to play, she just growls at them and sits so still. I hope her behavior takes a turn and that they eventually will play together, or just be kind for one each other. Did your dog's behavior changed quickly or did it took a couple of weeks? :-) I try and search for answers on the internet, but every article is contrary.
+Yep6803 it's harder to see the difference since the field one was castrated and his coat grew thick as a consequence. Best way to tell the difference is by the shape of the head, placement of the ears, and overall body shape quick can be difficult to determine if it had a heavier coat.
Yes, my female cocker is confound from other dog(wtf she have Pedigree! -.-''). "She cannot cocker is so big, dog coat haven't this length(eeh? is cut!), is tall..." aaah! XD Really, I think is the same breed only cut in two! Like breed hound, like breed setter!!! "Cocker isn't so dominant"... she is 'entire'!
It's difficult to find a breeder in America that doesn't dock their dogs. They're either docked to work the field or to conform to breed standards. This litter was bred in hopes of producing show quality dogs so all the puppies were docked a few days after birth since there is a very narrow time frame for docking and it may be some time before a breeder can determine which puppies are show quality and will just be pets. My girl ended up being show quality and was active in the conformation ring. I like Cockers with full tails like my liver spaniel or docked tails like my blue roan girl. It doesn't matter to me.
It´s amazing to see what a beautiful live you give to this dogs, they look so happy, there is only few things that are as pure as a dog´s love for his owner.
my parents have just told me we cant have a dog, must have watched this beautiful video 20 times getting my hopes up :( what a beautiful dog i'll never have
This looks like my dog!, she was also born 2012. What state is she from or breeder? Parents names. My dog Ethel looks just like her dad as this dog does?
