Looks great and organized! I’m glad I’m not the only one that places my board games horizontally. It keeps the insides nice and orderly! Maybe one day my collection will be as big as yours!
I'm into boardgames and SFF books as well. Just really getting started into hobbitist board games though. Went to first GenCon this past year. :) Great collection!
Hmm, randomly stumbled on this at a late hour, but with the collection shown and the seeming focus on aesthetically pleasing let me make two suggestions: 1. Tokaido - Walk from Kyoto to Edo, stopping along the way to: Take in the wiev, buy some souvenirs, relax at a hot spring, meet people, eat food, and other roadside activities. The winner is not the person who went the fastest, but the one who had the best experience. The artwork in this game is gorgeously minimalistic, and if you can find the collectors edition there are even minis for each wanderer. I have yet to meet anyone who didn't go "Ooooh, pretty" when the game was put out on the table. 2. Oceans (though any of the Northstar Games Evolution series can work) - Create species and evolve their traits to become the best adapted, the more species you manage to keep alive, the more points you score. Essentially it's an engine builder, and the original games before Oceans are a bit mean and your engine can be badly ruined by other players. The artwork is once again amazing, though mostly just cards for this one, each one if a watercolour painting. With Oceans there is even a separate deck of nearly 100 cards, all with different artwork. If you can mange to find the Kickstarter/deluxe edition of Oceans it is quite the thing to get on the table.
Love the collection. What's missing well lots but how about Nemesis, Brass Birmingham, To Many Bones, the Lost Treasures of Arnak, Clank in Space, Ticket to Ride and the big one Gloomhaven just to name a few.
YESSSS all of these are amazing recommendations. Luckily we have friends who already own Gloomhaven, Arnak and Ticket to Ride (though I am tempted to own a copy of them) its just easier so we can fill our library with other ones like Brass, and others. But all great games!
Another good video. We just got Dominion, and have loved it. We can see we want to get expansions, because we love to customize games. Do you have a recommendation for a first and second expansion to get?
That’s a great question! I would definitely recommend the Prosperity Expansion and Seaside Expansion. But honestly all of them are so good. And add something extra. That’s what’s dangerous about Dominion. 😬
Unless I zoned out, I think y'all don't have a lot of worker placement games beyond Everdell. If you like that kind of game and enjoy D&D, I recommend Lords of Waterdeep.
@MrTroxel, I have actually played Lords of Waterdeep and YES that's a great suggestion. It was super fun. We also have Scythe which has some worker placement aspects to it. We definitely have some worker placement games that we would like, like Dune Imperium.
