Hi we doing Cape Town through Namibia ( maybe Angola ) Zambia and then Botswana . We have just over 3 weeks . We have a top range Land Rover . Thank you .
Hi Nick! Seriously...this video is insane!!! Can I highly recommend you do a re-run of this video with a better map and some links.....Its just to much info and so awesome !!
I'm planning a 45day self drive safari (camping only) through Botswana & Namibia and this is super helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to put this altogether.
Very informative. Keep going. We are also planning for a road trip in June. After visiting Victoria Falls we will be crossing Botswana which route we should take to cross Botswana from Victoria Falls ? Is On Arrival Visa available in this route ?
Thanks Plumber Plumber. What an interesting name🙂Nothing with the engine. I replaced a front right stabiliser because I heard a noise. Turned out it was the bushes on the rear leaf suspension. Also had a minor cut on one of my tires. So used the spare. When I came back in Cape Town they told me the tire is fine. I put it back on and is still using it. So no, not any serious car trouble.
the most used are the Tracks4Africa. I am using their paper map for Zambia. They have a good map for Namibia as well. I've never used their digital maps. So far ive been ok with the maps.me app
Plenty of info Nick. Great work. Q. Is there any restrictions where you can't drive solo? I understand the Bots Park requires two or more vehicles driven in convoy as safety precaution. Perhaps they have designated areas? Many thanks from Oz.
Not as far as I am aware, I was not stopped and did all the parks solo, only requirement is a 4x4 vehicle. The only minimum 2 vehicles I can think of is the Botswana side of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, maybe the drive crossing from the Nossob rd to Mabuasehube gate.
