Yes, you had liposuction but you 100% have put in work for your weight loss. I hate that some ppl try to take that away from you. Losing weight is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. You measure your food and are conscientious about what you put in your body.
Ppl don’t realize fat cells stay In Your body but only shrink after weight loss any new cells accumulate after weight gain too sooo Lipo is one of the only things that can remove them from your body
I feel sad that you always feel you have to throw in the lipo you had when you mention your weight loss because of stupid people in the comments. People act like you can get lipo and lose a ton of weight but that's such bs.. Lipo is only really for those areas of adipose tissue that won't budge with diet and exercise. It's more for sculpting the body. And there's only so much they can lipo suction out. You worked so hard to lose the weight and I hate that people think lipo had anything to do with that. People need to educate themselves.. Instead of wasting energy judging someone for something they don't understand they can use that same energy to become informed. It's 2020, the age of information ffs!
Thank you so much, I agree. I just can’t seem to get away from people saying “but you got lipo!!!” Anytime I mention the weight loss. I really hate talking about it all now tbh😕
I also remember seeing years ago on a surgery show that surgeons can only lipo a certain amount by law. Cant remember how much though but it wasnt much at all.
Girl for real. It is sad and people do need to educate themselves on things specially things they have never done or on things they don't know much about. It's sad people still need to judge people on things they have done to help their body's out so they can be healthy mentally and physically. We honestly should be boosting each other up not down.
Right! The fatty cells are still there just waiting to cause problems and swell again. But with lipo it removes a lot of 'empty' fat cells so theres much less of a chance to gain it all back!
Emily Susanah that’s because most people do the healthy exercise and diet route and don’t cheat with surgery because they can’t afford it. You don’t acknowledge your privilege or the fact that others won’t get a tiny waist from NATURAL weight loss
This kind of video is so helpful for anyone thinking about surgery this should be part of the package for surgery before you agree to anything. Well done
When yu first choked up it made me feel so damn sad because I am also extremely self conscious about my body 😔 I hope that this truly makes yu feel as beautiful as yu are 🖤🖤
Had it done 40 years ago (yikes!) without implants too. Your scars will fade to the point that you'll forget you ever had it done. Just takes time. Congrats!
Microneedling too. I have massive stretch marks and c section scars that have improved so much with microneedling. Save money and do it yourself just make sure you educate yourself with it first. So you don't harm yourself.
@@rebeccaspratling2865 I just started micro needling and applying hyrolonic acid acid to the few stretch marks the tummy tuck didnt remove. I've seen awesome results but the itching can drive you crazy!
I agree with all these ladies! Microneedling works really well for scarring and stretchmarks. I have a massive scar on my right side boob from having a chest tube in, and I’ve been dermarolling it once a month and it works incredibly! I make my own rose hip seed oil and it works incredibly!!
Anecdotally that may be true but there have been multiple studies that show that Vaseline/pure petroleum jelly works much better than Vitamin E/tocopherol and has a less risk for developing contact dermatitis. Speak to any dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Vaseline/Aquaphor works the best for this type of wound care. Mederma or Bio-Oil is just marketing - obviously any thick emollient or oils are going to be helpful than using nothing at all.
I get choked up whenever you do in this video . I appreciate your journey and your healing journey so much. I haven’t had to deal with any of this but you’re amazing Emily
Yay!! Glad you posted this. Currently recovering from my Tummy Tuck after losing 120lbs! Had my breast augmentation last Sept. best decisions I ever made! Thanks for sharing your story 💕💕💕
Thanks so much for posting this! I’m a 36 DDD or F with saggy girls and I’m worried this will get worse when/if I lose weight. It’s such a struggle with back pain wearing a bra and finding a supportive bra is a nightmare. This is definitely something I’m considering 💜
I know this is 3 years old, and I'm not sure about your current situation but I was just wanting to mention that if theyre giving you bad back pain, your medical insurances could cover alot of the cost. My mother had hers done at 40 and BCBS covered hers, she had horrible pain from having alot that weight on her.
I truly appreciate your openness about such a private procedure. Thanks for giving us insight about your journey and process going through this. I found this to be absolutely helpful and I respect you for being honest & vulnerable Emily❤
I had to have a breast lift afer nursing my son for 10 months. I was in my 20s and felt like I looked like an old lady and I feel so much better now. It's been about 3 years and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
I had a breast reduction surgery over 10 years ago, because I was a 42 gg. Had four pounds taken off each breast. Best decision ever. Don't be ashamed of your body.
I got a breast reduction/lift and upper arm lipo a month ago, I enjoyed hearing about your experience. I feel a million times happier with my body now, we’re lucky to live in a time where these procedures are so accessible and safe. Good for you! And you look amazing ❤️
If you still aren't 100% happy with your areolas, you could always get them tattooed to even them out! I've seen some really cute and natural looking ones.
Yes you got liposuction, but you lost more weight after that procedure. You did all that work to lose weight after, so don't let anyone take that from you.
Bless your heart. You're such a beautiful person. I feel like I've been on this journey with you and I'm psyched to see you smile and look so fucking bomb!
Difficult topic but so helpful, so thank you for being so open. I’m a 38H and have thought about getting a reduction for the same reasons as you, but I don’t personally know many women who have done this surgery. Only one who was willing to talk openly about it, and she had a lot of pain from nerve damage and nerves reconnecting, so that scared me a bit since I already struggle with nerve damage from Lyme’s disease. It’s really helpful to hear from others. I’m definitely going to check out that app you mentioned too. Thank you again for sharing your experience!
Don’t worry your scars will even out! I had abdominal surgery a few years ago and had a scar inside my belly button that looked a lot like you described. It was bright red with a huge ridge and deep indents at the ends of the incision. I was convinced it was going to look like that forever but after about 8 months it completely flattened out and is now barely visible
Thank you so much for bringing awareness and talking about breast implant illness. I had it and it was the worst thing ever it was slowly killing me. Glad you had a good recovery 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
I can’t believe they sent you home right after surgery ☹️. I had my uplift (with small C cup implants) 10 days ago. They kept me in overnight to check blood supply to the nipple, blood pressure etc. My surgery took 6 hours. I did have my bigger 21 year old implants removed. They hadn’t leaked thank God. I’m not allowed to get my incisions or dressings wet (dressings are removed on day 14). My surgeon advised that keeping them dry and not removing dressings for 2 weeks greatly reduces risk of infection and let’s them heal better. My dressings at day 10 are still perfectly clean with no sign of infection. The only thing is, I have no idea what shape my areolas are or what my scars look like but overall I couldn’t be happier with the perky shape of them. Did you have drains in after surgery? My under arm drains have been in for 10 days and I can’t wait to get them out today. They are driving me crazy itching me! 😂
I really appreciate the fact that you did a breast lift without getting implants. I recently heard so much about getting sick because of that silicone... You are truly beautiful and amazing, my dear.
Awwwwwwww when she was like "it was hard for me to look in the mirror" and she pause because she was tearing up my heart dropped awwwwwwww she's so gorgeous😘
This is so inspirational to me. I've been thin the majority of my life, and when my depression reached its worst, I was put on up to 10 medications a day, multiple times a day. I gained 100 lbs in about 7 months, and I've been the same size since. Trying to get the weight off has been the most difficult challenge I've ever faced. I've stuck to multiple diets for a long time and have also exercised. I'm now considering surgery, and I honestly get so emotional when I watch your videos these.. Just becuase I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I can't tell you how thankful and greatful I am for you, you inspire me on a daily basis. I love you 😭❤️
Glad you mentioned breast implant illness, I feel like not enough people are aware of it! Also, my friend is considering getting a breast reduction and lift so this video will probably be really helpful for her, thank you for making it :)
I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. I had implants put in 21 years ago to correct a breast deformity (plus I was a AA cup to start with). I’ve just had them replaced with smaller implants and a breast uplift. I didn’t get breast implant illness and they didn’t leak so I guess I got lucky. My body did however grow a scar around my old implants but my breasts were still soft. I guess it’s the body’s way of protecting itself from a foreign body.
Thank you Emily! This is reassuring to anyone getting a breast surgery. You are definitely still healing and they will round out and fill in with time. My sister had a gland removed from one of her breasts and thought she would have an indent forever.... But after about 6 months you can't even tell.
kudos to you for being so open! it's really interesting and cool to see someone talk about getting a cosmetic surgery more for comfort rather than just wanting bigger boobs. which I'm one of those people, no shame at all! it's just a different perspective here.
About the crying when you woke up... A lot of people won't tell you or just don't even know, but that's actually a not uncommon side effect from anesthesia! You didn't know why exactly you were crying when you did and it sounds like you started crying like instantly -that sounds EXACTLY like how that side effect is! It's not crying from emotion, at least not the initial cause of it, it's more involuntary, like a reflex.. so far there's not really been anyone who's been able to fully explain the science behind this strange phenomenon, but it's a real thing, I've experienced it too!!
Thank you for sharing this experience. I am looking into the same procedure with implants. So its always good to hear how it went for someone. Gives good perspective.
thanks for sharing your experience. i've also lost a large amount of weight and have been contemplating getting a breast lift in the future for the same reasons as you. i really appreciate being able to hear your story!
Omg I’m so happy for you. Seeing how it affected you and I’m glad you did what made you happy. I’m so glad you didn’t get implants bc I’ve seen more of more people reporting on implant illness.
Reference 38G at my largest. I’ve lost 60 pounds. My boobs have always been very low setting now so more they just hang. I’m a 34D at the moment. I have gone to two consultations for a breast lift and I’m hoping to get it done this coming fall. Thank you for the video. 🥰
*New follower and I'mhappy with my decision* I had a breast reduction when I was 18, I'm 26 now. EVERYTHING you've described is exactly what I went through/experienced. Scars, mentality, comfort etc. I guess it's the same procedure! Here's my advice (that you didn't ask for🤣): keep using his gel, my scars are virtually invisible now except the one in the middle that was the last scab to come off. Trust the process! It looks absolutely crazy right now but it will smooth out. Your nipple feeling will come back but the one that was a little slower coming back is a little more sensitive than the other (at least mine was). Don't buy all the bras in the store when it comes time for that. I know it's exciting and different to have normal boobs, but try to refrain 😅🤣. Also, congrats. It's amazing how much your breasts can affect your WHOLE mentality. Good luck with everything!
I’ve been watching you since the beginning, I remember you had 12k on Instagram and I’ve seen your journey and progress. Yes, you’ve had lipo but you’ve worked so hard to get where you are, it’s just amazing to see all your hard work paying off
Youu have noo ideaaa how much you helped me with your explanation, your story is an inspiration for me. Thank you so much and I respect you for this really 💗💗💗💗💗 You're so beautiful Honey. A big respect to ur bf for his love 💗💗💗💗🙏🏻
I cried watching this video. I have a very similar situation with my breasts from losing weight and I’ve not done anything about it since I lost the weight 8 years ago. I know you know those feelings. Thank you for sharing your story, you’re inspiring 💕
Thanks so much for sharing this, I know it's wicked personal and it is definitely going to help other people considering this surgery. The freakout over the scar is REAL, but it takes so much longer to heal than you think it does. I am five months post-lung transplant and only now are my breasts smoothed out and back to normal!
I will be having my breast lift in a few years as well as some skin removal. I also don’t want any implants. I just want them where they’re supposed to be lol. I appreciate you sharing your experience!
I’ve gotten lipo too and it really helped like maybe 10% of my weight loss. I had a massive amount removed too but came to about 8-10 lbs total. And the loose skin and divets I had to deal with we’re just as bad trying to lose the weight. Surgery doesn’t diminish hard work
Anyone that’s a true follower knows you put in a lot of work to lose weight and lipo was only a small percent of that weight loss. You are a beautiful woman and I am proud that you are living your life how you want to because it takes bravery to post your life on the internet and be vulnerable to people who want to act like they know you. Keep doing you because your actual fans will always be here to support you! Sending lots of love your way😘
I relate SO MUCH!! I have always had massive boobs, after having my daughter they ballooned from a perfect 32DDD/E that had zero sag (I was often asked if I had implants by boyfriends) to a huge 40 HH. It was horrible. They sag now, really weigh me down & get in my way. I also put on about 70lbs after pregnancy and due to anxiety/OCD and a lot of meds, 6 years later I’m still trying to get back to my pre pregnancy size. I know for a fact that I’ll need a lift when the weight is gone. And like you I have no interest in implants at all. I’ve experienced big boobs, I don’t want them again lol. Good on you for doing what makes you happy! This has helped improve my motivation to lose weight & save up for a lift! Thank you! 💜
Bio oil for scars 110%. It's like a great mix of a bunch of good oils and stuff for your skin but it's extremely lightweight and easy to rub in. You just use it twice a day for a few months! Walmart sells an equate version that's $8, which is a third of the price for the huge bottle and it has the exact same ingredients
Yaaas thank you for posting!!! This was so informative! You look great! Healing takes time my sister ( who is fair skinned like you) had a breast augmentation and her scars are just now getting to be almost not noticeable anymore and it’s been almost 3 years and you cannot tell unless you’re looking for it. So keep your head up in time you’ll see the results you want!💕
I'm glad you're taking care of yourself in the ways that you need to to feel better and happier. Screw anyone who comes on here to try and tear you down. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look in the mirror and feel satisfied.
aww i am here for you really, listening to your story, knowing the mental anguish you have endured but i cant stop looking at your dog, he looks like he is saying "who is she talking to, i dont see anyone there". i love you and your dogs, all so wonderful
40F gang! Been trying to lose weight over the past few years with... mixed results (I may have BED, jury's still out on that one but it's quite likely) and my boobs are DONE with it. I definitely will need this when I'm down to a healthier weight bc I mean *good lord* I'm 23 with the titties of an 83yo. I'm so proud of you that you've done all of this and it's inspiring to me to work harder to live a healthier lifestyle and push more to get help for my difficult relationship with food and my body image. Thank you for making these videos
You're so incredibly inspiring... I have tried to lose weight so many times, but watching these sorts of videos always inspire me to work harder. I have always watched your previous weight loss video, and your journey is so amazing. I really appreciate this video and I'm so happy for you to finally have this journey come to a close. I know how hard it is to lose weight, especially when stress plays a large part in the difficulties of weight loss (at least I know it does for me). I love you so much and you're absolutely gorgeous and I'm so happy for you Emily 💙
Getting implants with my lift was a HUGE mistake. I’m currently recovering from my explant and second lift and my results are already so much more beautiful than with the implants. Also, breast implant illness is very real. I strongly urge anyone reading this that wants to get implants to reconsider.
1. Appa is a whole mood 😍 2. Love the film spot; as an added fun bit, you could set a screen saver for your t.v. 3. I had surgery on my hand and I was pretty alarmed how indented the scar was during the first few months, it legit looked like stuff could get stuck in there 🤢 but its got sooo much better, almost 1.5 years out. There is alot of techniques to loosening scar tissue; it legit is mostly grabbing it and yanking it around to "loosen the adhesion" 🤧- but it is severely beneficial! Sending love !!!!
I think you should try vitamin e oil on your scars. Just rub some on everyday, I normally do it after my shower, I just have a bad scar on my arm from a burn but its helping. Just a suggestion also I love how open you have been with your weight loss and surgeries ! 🙃
Anyone that I know who's had a reduction here in Canada was always given a lift. It's not just about making them smaller but improving the shape also. Luckily our health care covers it with minimal evidence of back problems. If you tell your family doctor that you're experiencing back pain or poor posture and it's obvious breast size is a problem they will refer you to a plastic surgeon or you can seek one out on your own. Thank you for the informative video. Glad there were no complications
Yeah! Not quite the same, but I'm in Canada and got a double lung transplant this summer and they told me if the healing scar deformed my breasts I would get complimentary cosmetic surgery for them! Luckily it wasn't a problem, but still. The states is a different beast
Don't let anyone define your beauty. You had lipo ... so what? It is your body and you do what you feel will be best for you. You worked hard on your weight loss and if you want to get lipo to help make yourself feel better then good on you. You pay your own bills and write your own rules so anyone that wants to pass judgement can get lost. Keep your head up and stay amazing. Love watching your videos and seeing you smile. Stay amazing!!!
Thank you for sharing so much. Social media can be so negative. I’m happy for you. I also lost about 100 pounds. I had gastric bypass surgery. I have excess skin removal scars and I don’t mind them one bit. Never had big breasts so that’s not a problem for me. Still LOTS of excess skin on my legs but don’t have the money for that and don’t live being under anesthesia. Never had a problem I just hate that feeling. It’s so weird! Congratulations. Heal well. Much live and admiration!
i work in the OR and it was interesting to see your side of it! ^.^ the drug they most likely gave you beforehand is a medication called versed. it causes forward amnesia and calms patients down. some people forget everything, some remember bits and pieces, and some patients remember everything (i.e. transport to the OR, convos in the OR, and going to sleep) despite taking it! eta - we don't let patients rub their eyes until they're fully awake and aware of their surroundings. this is because you could scrape your cornea and injure your eye(s)!! there's also the aspect of pulling out an IV if it's on the top of your hand, or scratching your own face with the IV.
Thank you so much for posting this! My weight has gone up and down ever since I was a kid, which has left me with a saggier chest than I, as a 22 year old am comfortable with. I'm about 45lbs overweight right now, and want to lose the weight, but I've been put off by the fear of my breasts getting even saggier than they already are. This video gave me a lot of hope that once I lose the weight, I'll be able to let a lift afterwards.
Thank you for being so upfront about all this and really answering the surgical procedure questions l learned a lot and wish you all the best in your recovery and future life
Omg i got a new youtube account a few months ago and i havent seen you in apparently over a year. I didnt even recognize you but there was a familiarity so i had to go back and see if it was really you. The transformation is crazy!! So proud of you
I really hate that you have to explain why you have decided to do these things for yourself. You look great, and deserve to FEEL like you look great. People that haven't lost a significant amount of weight, will never understand, mentally, what you go through. You look amazing, and more important, you look happy. Keep killing it, and being you, you're awesome!❤
I hope eventually you’ll be 100% happy! I’m glad you got to do this for yourself ❤️ I’m also trying my best to get my eating in check and it’s just not clicking, so I’m going to go watch your videos again and hopefully it will help me! Thank you sooo much for letting us all in and sharing all of this, you’re my favorite ❤️❤️❤️
I had breast reduction surgery when i was 15 (20 now) but one of my breasts was about 1kg heavyer/larger than the other one and i wanted to make them at least a bit more even becouse the situation was messing with my head and confidence, so when i had the first surgery it was such a relief and it literally changed my life for the better. The healing actually took me about 6 months becouse of school and becouse i was just an active person, and my scars took forever to heal. I then had one more surgery at 16 to correct the scars becouse on the bigger breast the scar stretched out about 6cm and it was just too thin and hard so that had to be fixed. And since then i never had a major problem with them. They are still not symmetrycal, the areolas are totaly different and i still have pretty thick scars (i don't mind that, i actually like it), but the relief is incredible. Going from a DD to having like C/D breasts is awesome for my back becouse my shoulder like dipped in becouse of the bigger breast and that was really mesing up my posture. It also took me about a year to have sensation in the areola of the bigger breast so i'm glad that your healing is going better. The soreness can last a long time for some people but i don't think you're gonna have too much issues with that. Once you heal fully, it's gonna be the best. And being able to go braless (not always the possibility for me becouse they're still kinda big-ish), that's the best. You're back is gonna thank you later, shoulders probably too. Just don't try to be too active for about 2-3 months, just to be safe, you don't want to mess the healing part up like i did (gym class was hell after surgery and i still had to run and excersize becouse the proffesor was an idiot)
I so get what you went through. I’m still dealing with it. I lost 162lbs and now my boobs are just empty sacs and my whole body is just loose excess skin. It makes me feel more uncomfortable with my body than I was when I was obese. It’s a struggle. All the surgeries I want will cost at least $70k or more. Edit: and girl you don’t owe anyone an explanation on why you do something in your life. You do what you want! Don’t feel like you have to justify what you want!
I've been interested in getting a lift since I was a teenager as I have always had issues with my breasts but I've always been scared of the recovery and the cost. Would you mind sharing how much your surgery ended up costing?
Just saw your video and yes girl I had a breast lift too due to gaining weight from pregnancy. I have had huge boobs all my life and a breast lift was so comfortable than getting breast implants too. Plus healing from a breast lift, you do not want to do implants too. You need to heal from the lift without added weight so your scars stay very small and not so stretched from implants too. I think your decision was a very smart one.
Thanks for sharing babes! For post scarring, topically I use scar tape(amazon), kojic soap for hyperpigmentation. Internally, I take collagen peptides daily,& vit C. If it seriously bothers you, u can get hydroquinone cream prescribed for short term use or try micro needling on the most resistant areas with serums. Much love! Your lipo video really helped me btw
Use palmers coco butter lotion and mix vitamin e oil into it. After my breast surgery I used it and 2 years later I can’t see my scars at all. I have extremely fair skin like you.
Please use the 100% silicone gel in your scar, or retinol/retin-A, NOT vitamin E oil, as some people suggest. The absolutely most important thing though is completely avoiding the sun on the scars
Thank you so much for filming this video, I have been wanting the same surgery for many years but always had so many questions I couldn't find answers to from other youtube videos! Really informative! I know you said you probably wouldn't film a 1 year post op but if you do that would be amazing, I would love to know whether you are still happy with the decision and if that's anything to be aware of after the initial recovery period 💖💖
This was sooo helpful and informative cause i recently had a baby and I've been doing alot of research about breast lifts and this video helped me out alot and motivates me to go through with it
I admire your journey it’s awesome how you achieved so much I got your advice of the surgery and I m so grateful I did! I had big breast since teen years and I had always been not comfortable with them so I decided to go for it so glad I saw your video. Thank you sincerely!
I really enjoy your vlogs even if you don’t really do much of exciting stuff I like seeing what people do in their day to day life I think it’s very relatable! I really look forward your next ones❤️
