My BreyerFest 2024 Speculations

The time for BreyerFest 2024 leaks is just around the corner! Just before Breyer decides to drop the Special Runs and Limited Editions, I thought it would be a good idea to create a video about my speculations regarding this coming BreyerFest! Will we get special variations? Will there be a celebrity guest appearance at the event? We shall see!

He sure would have! It might be too late for them to make a BreyerFest limited edition of him, but I’m holding out hope that they’ll make a regular run portrait model after him. A girl can dream! 🤞🏼

Your suggestions are really cool! Sadly the models released so far seem to be going in a very different direction to what everybody thought😅 I wouldn’t be surprised if this year’s theme is more about girl power than it is actually about horses, which is kind of a shame in my opinion

Breyer rarely follows the theme. They just revealed the 4 Single Day Stablemates & they’re all pastel filigree decos with names from pop music. Looks more like Girl Power than Against All Odds. Gateway to India didn’t haven’t the CL Polo Pony as a Store LE. Driving Forward didn’t have the only Breyer mold with a harness - the Old Timer. Blast from the Past only had one vintage mold & that was the Boxer. The hero theme didn’t feature real horse used by Law Enforcement, the military & Search & Rescue or even horses used in therapy. It was just names with convoluted connections to Marvel. The molds for Off To The Races we’re predominantly Spanish breeds & no one races Spanish breeds. I’ve been to every BF since 1992 (perk of living in Lexington) and the theme means next to nothing. The only connection to the theme is the names of the SR models. Hopefully this year will be different, because I like your ideas, but I’m skeptical.

I agree that Breyer missed opportunities to create models that represented the theme. Plus, I would have also preferred if this year’s Event Stablemates were inspired by true horse stories as opposed to pop culture. However, in 2019, the police horse Oliver was the Celebration Horse, and Zipped in Black Magic (one of the Limited Editions) was a therapy horse. It seems like Breyer tends to do a better job following the theme when it comes to the portrait models, but as far as the Special Runs and Event Stablemates are concerned, I agree that Breyer could do better. On a side note, I think it’s awesome that you’ve been attending BreyerFest for so long! 😃
