Because her father is indeed unfair. Her father can't even make a stand against the grandma in regards to his wife and daughter, talk about a great dad, wow. Her mom was the one who helped make their business greater but because she's the second wife, she is not accepted. The dad favors the son a lot, always giving him money despite the many and countless failed businesses, the laundering and the mistresses. How she did it may have been wrong but him getting caught was basically a good thing otherwise they wouldn't have found out that not only is he cheating on his wife but also stealing money from the company. This is just a petty and failed revenge of her brother.

I think there was an episode that the brother is in a hotel with a girl and having s*x time together while the dad is trying to make money for the business. The brother was the one who keeps taking the company money for his lover and not caring about the company. Despite that this girl trying to help her dad, the brother is always doing bad things behind the dad. Of course, she has to put her brother in place because of what he has done that embarrassed the dad and the reputation of the company. I too will do that if my brother does these kind of indecent acts behind the family. 😡😡😡

She never actively tried to hurt her brother, her brother is the one gambling, cheating on his wife with mistresses, embezzling money, taking money from his dad then going to his paternal grandma to cry about his 'unfair' treatment. Her father forgives her brother for all of his countless misdeeds and constantly bails his irresponsible son out. His brother is the one who is hurting himself and being self-destructive, xiaoxiao only exposed him, she never framed him for anything he did not do, which we can't say the same for him. Everything else is his own doing. Besides, his brother is the one who belittles her, when she succeeds, and her parents praises her and say that she is amazing, he would butt in and say that it was just dumb luck and nothing worth celebrating and that she is not really that amazing. Her brother is the spoiled brat, not her. Their grandmother just could not accept the fact that her son has remarried, it has nothing to do with xiaoxiao or her mother as a person.

This comes from having not watched the 2 series!! Yes segments like this do generate emotions on the scene at hand but does not reflect the true meaning of what is shown!! I have a brother like that and he is handful and in truth I could not trust anything that comes out of his mouth, he is still my brother and family and nothing can change that!!
