Very nicely presented. And your upgrades are impressive. Your clip is a couple of years old so the following message may now be old news. If not……..One word of caution to your viewers, specifically the ones riding the Brompton P Line. The Brompton rear rack that is compatible with the P Line-and there’s only one-does NOT accommodate the Vincita Large Nash Bag in a position that does not come in contact with your heels when pedalling. I discovered this shortcoming the hard way after my purchase. Nonetheless, it’s a nice bag and I’ve made use of it on my Specialized Como Electric. I suspect the smaller Nash bag ‘might’ be fine on the P Line. But you may be wise to check.

I love your video and choice of parts. I too have the LitePro extender wheel on my wife's brommie and so far it's still intact and working properly but worry that the extender rod will bend like yours did, in the near future. My bike had the same LitePro easy wheel extender and the threaded cone that holds the wheel on one side came loose during a ride and just disappeared. Very frustrating. I will now just order the original Brompton easy wheels.

Thank you very much for this superb made video showing your setup so detailed. It is always very interesting seeing other Brompton riders solutions for your own problems! And I enjoy your video style. Using two bags would be my first choice as well. But how do you handle your bike and the two bags if you choose to visit a shrine, castle or museum while traveling? There are quite some solutions to carry all your travel luggage on a Brompton while riding it. But how to handle it when you want to visit indoor locations is the question that makes me stay awake at night. I would love to read your thoughts / experience on that. Cheers from Germany!
@takujadebun
@takujadebun 3 года назад
Danke danke sehr fuer gute frage:) I take two often depends on area in Japan. 1. I leave my rear bag on bike parking place, but i could do this only when i travel to rural area or parking area. and i think not so many people knows how to remove rearbag. As you may know Japan is super safe country though... 2. I put my rear bag into "coin-operated-locker". some station in Germany has it as well(i used them when i lived there), but in Japan every station has such a locker so i put unnecessary items into rear bag for sighseen and leave it in Locker.
@beachstart
@beachstart 3 года назад
@@takujadebun Hey, I am impressed by your German! Thanks for your details answer. These two options are exactly what I was thinking of so far. Some touristic place even offer to store your suitcase which would be my Brompton with bag. I used to own a Tern Link with a Klickfix basket up front. I would leave my rain jacket water bottle and sunscreen open in the basket and everything went fine so far. Well, they stole the entire bike in front of a museum in Hamburg, but that is another story. Big citys are always unsafe in the center - except in Japan.

Takuya San, Thank you for a great informative video. I do not have a Brompton bicycle yet but will be purchasing one on my next trip to Sapporo hopefully in 2022. I was wondering if you can go regular shopping with your Brompton in a typical supermarket partially folded and use the front carrier bag as your shopping basket. Or do you have to leave your Brompton outside the store while you do your grocery shopping? I understand that while going on a train you have to fold the bike and put in a bag. I was just wondering. Thank you, Gary
@takujadebun
@takujadebun 2 года назад
HI Gary san! and its super nice youre gonna be in Sapporo with your Brompton. The bag I use when I going somewhere with the train, its mandatory in Japan, but for supermarket or shops it all depends on shop owners. I sometimes bring Brompton into shop, but Japan is not that dangerous so I often lock my brompton in front of shops and never got stolen so far..

I am not so sure about those tires. I'd mount something beefier for durability and puncture protection, and wider for more compliance and co fort, a 1 ⅜". As for weight, how much does the bike with luggage mounts but without luggage weigh? You must be up to 14kg without luggage.

Hi Takuya! I just came across your video and I’m so impressed with your approach of using the quad lock adapter on the back of your drone controller! I never thought of doing that. I have one for my phone but that’s just so clever to use one also on your drone controller. Based on your video I bought another adaptor and I was about to apply it and I noticed the dji controller (which I think you are using) has a fan at the position where you are positioning the adaptor. Just wondering if this has caused any issues for you? I think it’s a fan anyway - also worried incase it interferes with the signal in anyway by covering that area. I’d love to hear how it has worked for you? Thanks!
@takujadebun
@takujadebun Год назад
Hi Miriam, sorry for late response. I am using the controller of DJI remote controller for DJI Air 2 and you are right that Quadlock adapter covers the fan, but I don't face any issue as of now no fan issue, nor signal issue. I use drone mounted on my brompton only when I want to take footage me and Brompton for few minutes around me. when I take longer time/distance I dismount it. hope this helps!!
@MiriamKennedy
@MiriamKennedy Год назад
@@takujadebun Hi Takuya - I applied the adapter and no problems at all 😉 Thanks again for providing me with the inspiration to do it! I believe that area is a sound speaker rather than fan, so we’re definitely ok to use it 😊

Yes, I know what you mean about aftermarket parts. It’s a real shame that there is so much rubbish around - just looking fancy, but not fulfilling its purpose at all and falling apart quickly. The Brompton original parts tend to be quite ugly, but they have been tested properly. There are some companies that make better quality though, like you mentioned: H&H and Joseph Kuosac. There should be a testing site or a shop that only offers parts that have been tested. I’ve had parts from Aceoffix and they weren’t very good. Aftermarket easy wheels very often have tyres that are way too thin. This means a bump will hit and damage the rim quickly.
@takujadebun
@takujadebun 3 года назад
i agree with you 100%!!!! H&H, Joseph Kuosac and Hubsmith are making better quality afterparts for sure. but other items ive tried in the past was soo poor quality. some say its made for brompton but didnt fit my brompton at all, break just used after few hours.. so i always test few hours around my home after i replace my parts before the big journey.. anyway, keep your brompton as it is, this is the best answer for all of us at this moment i think..

If you mean the opaque (almost see through) bag seen at 1:05 when he's getting on the train that's an IKEA DIMPA bag. It has the perfect dimensions to slip the whole bike inside. Once the bike is inside the bag it is officially "luggage". I use it myself, it's great. It's also the cheapest Brompton accesory there is ;) I have also simply covered my Brompton in a large trash bag instead. That has the double advantage of the (trash) bag also having wheels, so I can roll it down the aisle of the train as well as not having to visit Ikea but simply getting the (trash) bags at the supermarket.

I've been riding this bike for about a month ru-vid.comUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.

I have both and and currently using the Matumura Kohki, but am thinking of changing to the Joseph Kuosac during my next service. Your feedback is appreciated.

Thank you and good question Ramzi! Well, Matsumura Kohki Suspension was one of my option, but I tried both suspensions and he said JK's suspension is was harder than Matsumura(hard type) one and it makes me more power direct speedy run. so i choose JK one. and aldo JKs suspension is way cheaper than Matsumura one..

@@takujadebun thanks for the reply. Noted on the hardness required for the speedy run....How about comfort? Which was better?

@@ramziabdullah1 For comfort, Matsumura is better, but if you are looking for comfort suspension, i recommend use brompton original one..

How many speed is your Brompton? Is three speeds sufficient for touring?

I have 2 bromptons and both are 2 speed. I dont know your touring style, but i do recommend 2 speed model due to its lightness and you may climb small hills with no issue
