I have one of these.a few issues ,fuel related.the outlet on tank was filled with sediment stopping flow.cleared that and open fuel flare fittings on engine and cranked until fuel came out of lines.tighten nuts back up and tried it.fired right up and never had another issue.great engines the 271.
The AC HD-5G trackloader was very popular with contractors back in it's day. It was the first all-hydraulic trackloader to be offered to the construction industry. The HD-5G was typically powered by a 2-71 Detroit diesel engine. An acquaintance of mine had one and did a lot of land clearing with it before he moved on to a newer machine.
The H 5 is a good machine. Each track pad has three grousers on it for traction. Weld a piece rebar the width of the track pad, on the front and rear grousers of all the track pads. It will make a world of difference in the life of the pads and the amount of traction you will have with this great little loader.
Could you please show the engine and explain what there working on. Just showing two guys working on a trailer gets old quick. It just a suggestion. I did subscribe to your channel.
Honestly i would have but none of us that day we were going to have time to work on it let alone get it running. Im trying to get better😁. I may do a fallow up this spring about it. And hopefully go over what he did to get it running, do to the fact a lot of people liked this video. Thank you for your comment.
