Hello everyone! In this video I talk about the gear that I use for my podcast(s).
I use both Rode & Zoom equipment, and they are both fantastic! The Zoom mic is extremely sensitive to background noise, but other than that - no complaints. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to break the bank to start a podcast. There are popular podcasts that record audio directly to a phone. You don't need camera's, you don't need an audio interface, and you don't need a studio.

Good little video and good advice for anyone starting up. We often worry too much about kit, software and tweaking the sound but the content matters more. Good luck with your channel. Keep up the good work.

Just a recommendation, I had this issue using a similar boom as yours. If you bump the table the springs vibrate like guitar strings & creates a hum. All I did was take a piece of black Velcro & wrap it around the springs, a rubber band will work, anything to touch the springs & stop them from vibrating.

Hello love the video and your quality its amazing, i have the Podtrack and AudioTecnica AT2040 = Rode Pod Mic but my sound dont have any bass can't tell me your settings? And u record in 5 right

How would you set up your iphone to record video using the p4 podtrak?

Hi Mike - You can record directly into your phone and use that audio for the podcast. If you are doing a podcast with a guest, then you can connect your phone to the Podtrak via a TRRS cable. Does this help?

So can I use the podtrak p4 to record audio for video podcast? I seen somewhere where it said it’s harder to put the podtrak audio in to video, just want to make sure before I make purchase

Hey DAFR - I must have seen the same thing you saw. I was apprehensive about buying it because of “audio drifting”, but I’ve not ever had to do with it, and I’ve gone over an hour a couple of times. I use Final Cut to edit the podcast. I use 24 FPS and have had no issues.

Zoom p4 + behringer xm8500 I'm going to podcast with this setup, but I'm looking for a nice xlr cable. If I change my microphone in the future, I would be very happy if you could suggest a brand that I can continue without having to buy an xlr cable again. Thanks.

I’ve not tried the Go-Pro 11 before?.?. I used the Go-pro 9 for over a year and it was great! I’d love to test out the 11 though! Tell Go-Pro to send me one to test 🫣😏
