Quiet Nerd Depende. RJ and JB are corporations. Kahit sino hinahire nila jan. Buti nalang sa amin may local guitar shop na nagiistock nang high end gear. The staff from top to bottom are musicians in the local scene too.
If you plan on getting Floyd Rose equipped electric electric, get a better quality guitar with quality Licensed Floyd Rose, some company use Cheaper materials on the LFR base plate, once the blade on either side wears down, it would be tougher to keep the LFR at zero point or floating. Another thing to consider is Floyd Rose guitar are a little harder to tune when you change strings often, you could use a piece of popsicle stick to prevent the FR from pulling back (I place a paper on guitar body before placing the stick) without string tension, the springs will pull On the FR. note: I only own one electric guitar with LFR, it has Takeuchi LFR (made in Japan) considered one of the better made LFR. Gotoh LFR are also good quality, Schaller LFR (made in Germany) are also good. If you are hard set on getting guitar with Floyd Rose, you can always upgrade the part with better quality but that would increase your cost.
I remember buying my first guitar. My budget is only 3000 pesos and out of all the guitar that is for sale, I picked the guitar worth 4500 and it speaks to me. I asked if they can lower the price and I came back and forth 3 times, like the guitar is calling me. Until they finally agreed to sell the guitar for my 3000 budget. I'm so happy that day. And I still play with that guitar until now.

I bought my first electric guitar without knowing all these aspect and only relying on the aesthetics and what I feel when I play it. Siyempre I had some research prior to buying it and it was all fun. I’m a lefty and I learn to play right handed dahil nanghihiram lang ako noon ng gitara sa kabarkada so this vid really helps a lot. I was planning to buy a Cort acoustic from one of the stores along that pasilio (MOA) but I ended up buying a Barbie Almalbis Armor of God Jr. I asked the D&D staff to upgrade it by installing a new set of nut and saddle (Tusq) and since then I never search in any store. My D&D rocks better than any Jr's and parlor guitars! Mabuhay kayo D&D!

Tip: Refrain from buying plastic tuning pegs for acoustic guitar. ive had issues with breaking or loosing thread due to tension especially for the tuner for G string.

Selecting amplifiers: For acoustic guitar, I have Roland AC33RW either using four D batteries or connect to power point. It has a microphone input, both inputs are reverberated, very loud and clear for busking on the streets. For an electric guitar I have Roland Cube 30w with built in multiple effects,and bought special Roland double pedals to switch in between clean different multiple effects... their excellent japanese amplifiers...... Five times cheaper than Marshall and Vox British designed amplifiers and American Fender amp....To Perfecto de Castro : you have good tips fo buying guitars,dude..KEEP ON ROCKING..

Just flew back to Jersey yesterday. But I always go to Alabang town Center or SM Southmall. I’ll try MOA next time! Last year was looking for acoustic and ended up buying an RJ Mini Acoustic for Php 7000. I was going to bring it back here but ended up keeping it there for when I go home.
I always like Epiphone the same way with Fender. Everytime I went to SM Calamba before, I used to visit their store and play a song then leave 😅 I don't know if they notice me, maybe 😂, they are so welcoming by the way, I'm still saving money that time to buy one 😂.
to be honest , sobrang pinaplano ko talaga bumili ng gitara. last month ko pa pinag iisipan "without" any inputs online meaning hindi ako nag sesearch ng mga prizes, any thing about guitar, im not searching for it .. but the weird part is , when i open youtube, your video was in recommended section and i try to watch it. no doubt, your video is a good guide for us who have no ideas on how to buy a new guitar. nagkaron tuloy ako ng knowledge about getting my own. kasi i feel so anxious when i go to stores and i dont know what to do. tingin tingin lang, pag nilapitan ako ng staff ng store at tinanong ako kung ano ang gusto ko, wala akong masagot.. thanks for this sir. now i know what to do.

we should post our own tips and help the new members of the community. i only have one tip for new buyers on a small budget. 1.wait for christmas or special sales, I got my Jackson dinky at JB music shop (I forgot which branch) the original price was around 11 or 12k pesos but It was on sale and I got it for 8k. if you are really short on money, and just starting to learn the guitar, I suggest buying from RJ Guitar center whenever they have a sale, I think the prices can go as low as 50% or 80% not really sure.

If I were D&D I would have given you that guitar for free! The generated publicity is certainly worth more than that. I never knew there is that guitar store out there let alone the fact that they sell guitars worth trying (and acquiring) by no less than PDC himself.

10:11 this is important if you have new string attach cause it loosen the tight of string if you used it. I remember when we played guitar on stage, my friend have a new string and at first play music, its all good, but when it comes to second music, the tuning of his guitar comes down. And the judges and us wait for him to tune yhe guitar. So do this is important.
Tip: if you see a guitar on sale for 70%off buy it kase baka bukas wala na 70%off. Naka bili ako ng guitara Lag t60d P20000 original price naging P6000 nalang kinabukasan wala nang sale ang ibang hindi nabenta balik original price na. Ang swerte ko😂😂

I just bought a brand new but very cheap Rogue guitar. It sound great. I have no idea why it is so cheap. It’s a pure acoustic and it’s my first guitar. I also got a Fender electric guitar on sale. It came with an amp, gig bag, strap, strings. The total cost is still cheaper than a regular acoustic guitar. Both were still in boxes. No scratches.
