This was my trip on the railway on my trip to the Poconos I ride on in the cab and even got to do something every rail fan dreams of doing while inside a locomotive cab. Hope you enjoy

4:19 you would never know this especially now a days but at this area of the line was known for the Glen Onoko Hotel in late 1800's that burnt down, there are still area's here where you can find old structures hidden around, a getaway for the Richest Men at the time in all the United States such names that had stayed here are Mark Twain & Teddy Roosevelt. Jim Thorpe is known as the Million Dollar Town for many reasons as the ASA Packer mansion is one of reasons. The Line out of and around Jim Thorpe has always been owned operated by the Reading Railroad but the tracks on the other side of the Lehigh River were originally owned by the Great Lehigh Valley railroad which is located down near Bethlehem Steel. Reading railroad out of Jim Thorpe ran their line down river to Packerton yard which was owned by LV as the tracks cross over each other on 2 different points around Jim Thorpe station as in video you cross the Northen tracks. Just a stone throw west away from Jim Thorpe station is the old line of the Mauch Chunk and Summit Railroad switchback gravity line. The line has been gone for over 100yrs but the history still stands there to this day.
