Cory, I just have to tell you how much I appreciate you as a person. You’re literally the first RU-vidr I ever watched and I’ve enjoyed every moment of your story. SAME - he brought me into the world of subscribing to a channel on RU-vid (I now follow over 100) I found him on his first day driving to Alaska....I'm all about that life ....all I think about. He is quite relatable to me in many ways, but anyhow. Never missed a video till he moved back to the states and turned into a semi-quasi Family Channel.

I learned a long time ago to quit worrying about the future, to never plan longer than a few months ahead and just go with the flow. Way less stressful and fits with the creative mind. Any mistakes you make along the way are just learning experiences, without mistakes and failures, you do not grow. Just go with the flow.

It is neat how when you suffer from anxiety, you think you are the only one, that there is something wrong with you. But I am starting to realize just how common this in, it is not abnormal at all, just part of the human condition. Some of us though have it more severe than others, all tied to our genetics and early experiences.....

My friend went through some stuff and she actually went back to Peru for 2 years by herself without her children just saying life gets interesting and everybody has their own way of dealing and understanding in time 🌹

hopefully the nutcases are long gone... I mean, I know close enough where the drummer for Coheed and Cambria lives that I could go find his house if I wanted, but I'm not about to go there uninvited. and I'm sure there's other things that I know from things that he's posted that I could probably arrange the find a place to "run into him"... but... why? what would there possibly be to gain from that? if I were to do that and knock on the door, when he answers where is it going to go from there...? It's just going to be weird, awkward, and creepy. That doesn't sound like an enjoyable experience for either of us to me.

@@better.better But he mentioned that he won't use the fireplace because it's the beginning of July, and we're only at the 5th of July, so he's most likely still there. Also, he said that he has internet there, but it's kinda spotty.

Currently I came out of a toxic marriage, which gave me anxiety and depression and unsure of future. But now I'm loving my life with some 'me' time. Helping people around as much as I can. Speaking as a son who's almost about to leave the house, I am completely ready from a personal standpoint. If your son is ready to leave, that means you did your job right. You may not be ready, but at that point, the responsibility has shifted from you to him. It matters that he's ready.

I also have anxiety and I find that it helps to put my hand over my heart and I say "Of course you feel ..." and then I take a deep breath and repeat that I am safe and it's okay to feel ... but I am safe. On another note: that cliff is stunning, but I'm definitely happy to see it through a video. The sounds from birds and bugs is my favorite in the world Thank you for sharing!

I'm late to watching these but Cory you have been an inspiration in my life for many many years, so much you feel like that old friend or a long distand cousin lol. Sometimes it's do hard to shut off that anxiety and it's hard but I know that learning from each anxiety attack ot panic attack teaches me another bit about me and that relaxing is key. 😊

Hi Cory. Yeah sounds like this is probably more so to clear your heart, soul and mind from hindrances and overthinking than a Writer's retreat. Allow yourself to experience joy as an individual as well. If writing music, books, whatever way of expression you have for yourself is there in your heart than treasure that with no expectations ( not the same as goals ) of yourself. Happy for you to have this time to yourself and your imagination and creativity. We need to grow as individuals as well so for those with children, they can learn and nurture from their parents. ❤️❤️❤️LOVE YOU CORY❤️❤️❤️ I have ALWAYS ADMIRED YOUR HONESTY and GOOD HEART ❤️ The view and surroundings where you are staying at the cabin are breathtaking and for you for the taking Cory! Such a beautiful place to clear your head and have some “me time” I, like you Cory have ADD and Anxiety (unspecified) definitely not easy sometimes. As you mentioned though, having ADD is good and not so good. You are VERY CREATIVE and well LOVED by so many. Don’t be so hard on yourself Cory! I know, sometimes easier said then done. You’ve got this, and you will find what you are searching for. All well worth it, and “just for you” Thinking of Cory, nature and the smell of pine trees 🌲 Love Ya Cory! P. S. You can always take off the mattress from the bed and put it inside the screened porch and sleep out there and be “one with nature” 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲

I watched these two videos out of order. But I was able to see that one reason you may have experienced anxiety driving out there could be about the anticipation and expectation of creativity and productivity that you have for this week, don’t about what you will achieve and the reality of finally spending some alone time... you know as a parent that alone is a weird and rare precious experience... just enjoy being there... everything, even just solitude, is progress. Don’t pin too much expectation on yourself. 💔

I dream of writing and retreats while I want my lifestyle to be that too each week but also sometimes get away like this for myself once I trust myself w my practice in the everyday first. I adore bnbs and inns and my hubby always likes hotels lol nice ones but mind you sometimes im just like eventually I need to do this for me with my life work:) and get okay with that sometimes..:) its so soul nourishing! 😅great for you to courageously do this! Not easy for sure ..but important to follow our dreams.. personal vortex activations.. stuff like these experiences are not found in hotels. They just are meant for people who appreciate the charming unique spaces we need for nourishing our souls..

This looks like the mounts in North but I really doubt you drove that distance. And IM the sMe way you are in many ways. First off, YES! The mountains always gives a warm comforting HUGS. I'm living by the sea at the moment Nd miss the mountains. You know, I've been watching you for I think 15 years now.. maybe more.. and you've LwYs been sincerity too what people think but that's because you have such a pure heart and even though it's hard too have a pure heart it's a blessing too. Cory, All of us have been so holed up in our coronavirus bunkers that we got too used to it, and we all subsequently forgot how to adventure and we forgot how to cope with everything outside of our homes. The slightest deviation from the solitary home life I crafted for myself is now maddening to me, when it wouldn't have bothered me before the quarantine. My wife and I were slated to do a weekend retreat somewhere within our home state of Illinois, but I panicked, thinking I couldn't mentally or physically handle the challenge of living or sleeping in a different place. Getting back into the game, whether that game is creativity or life outside of quarantine, is going to be a challenge, and it's okay that that's a challenge. But it looks like you're taking that challenge, of getting your life where you want it to be, head-on, and you deserve all the support in the world for that. Cheers to you, Cory, from some dude who's been watching your content for about 12 years now.

My anxiety has gotten worse over the years. It has gotten to the point I can barely drive cause I can have a panic attack in the middle of traffic. Safe right? I need to do me and probably need to find me a doctor who can help me instead of me just blowing it off like I can do it alone. I hope you embrace you and all of the things you want to do. I just wanted to share that my husband used to struggle with anxiety and depression. He would have panic attacks almost daily. He struggled with racing thoughts and would bounce back and forth between being anxious and being depressed. It wasn't until he went to a primary care doctor who diagnosed him with ADD. He started a very low dose ADD medication and it has helped him so much! He is able to think clearly and can focus on what he wants to focus on and his anxiety and depression has almost disappeared. He also attends therapy once a month. He used to attend therapy almost weekly because his anxiety and depression was so bad. I don't know if you have tried therapy or medication but I encourage you to look into it and don't quit until you find something that works for you. My husband tried multiple different medications before he found something that worked for him. Best wishes!

Stunning place! I get anxiety and panic attacks! Never used to! It came with age! Bananas do calm you! Try natural calm! It works the minute you take it! Mix with hot water and it is the best stuff! Or they have gummies in it now! You will get through this! And that place is perfect for you to regroup!!

@12:42 beyond. This is why you have to call your mom! She has had those same thoughts about you that you are having right now. Call your mom! But first! Go forest bathing! Dilute those vibs, green is known to be universally healing! I thought you'd be running or biking through the forest trails with "He's a Pirate" by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimme (Pirates of the Caribbean theme song) playing in the background. Adventure to that creek below to see what fairies, elves, & gnomes might be doing to ward off those pesky trolls, goblins, and other wild things! On a deeper note . . . I see there is big time anxiety. Only you know the truth about where those anxiety attacks come from. I can only speculate that its from being away from your family. I know that you will always be there for them. Connect with yourself, once you've left that space, make it a ritual to connect with yourself. If others are relaying on you - who can you rely on?

What a lovely place! The view is beautiful! Maybe you should read something from the Bible too around this time .. read thru the Psalms.. it will help you with your anxiety. Ask God for direction and His peace will guard your heart and mind:)
