My Cane Corso Preacher Corrects a Dog at the Dog Park and Battista Learns Some Manners 

Here is the second video that I did today after about 15 minutes of working with Battista. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DkxYiWGZm58.html I did have to put them into submissive posture which means that I made him lay on his side without getting up until he was told. It is essential to physically put the dog down on its side, however you cannot call it a successful training session until the dog actually stays in the laying down position without having to be held down. That's an important factor to keep in mind that many people miss. Depending upon the dog it may take you as little as five minutes to As Long As 30 minutes you have to be patient and be willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that you get full submission. You do not want to give up because that will only make it harder the next time.

Lol, Batista ‘s mom! I had a very stubborn dog, at first I thought she was deaf and a little bit slow. One day it dawned on me that she was training me instead of me training her, 😂 I love her, she brought me so much joy when I figured her out.

I can not believe those people that were petting Batista while you were hollering for him. They were encouraging him not to listen.

Battista takes all of Rachel's commands, whether its 'come', 'hurry', 'NOW' or 'HUSTLE', under advisement and then decides "NAAAH - too much work!" That boy is able to get away with a lot. If this was Velocity, she'd be in permanent time-out by now.

7:37 Was Batista being rude to that woman? 6:31 A couple man and a woman laying down the law on their dog? 8:50 I really dont like them. That breed is too rogue. One mistake and you have a dead dog or worse a mauled or a dead person. A dog breed that volitile should not exist. It is like a gun were the safety goes of randomly. Chance is too high the owner slips up or has his/her attention somewhere else at the wrong time.

Nice place for dogs to play. My dog held a little dog down once, that came charging. I was so proud of her for only holding her down and not biting. It was funny looking... she actually used her arm and held the dog down and corrected. I was relieved. Your dogs are well behaved.

I love watching these dog vlogs so much, they are entertaining yet educational in so many ways! Just curious, in situations where one of your dog misbehaves and goes in hides near other people and those people start petting them, do you ever ask the people to stop petting the misbehaving dog? Or even in a family setting when they run to another human member of the pack and they start petting them? I would imagine it would enforce some sort of negative reinforcement of the running away and hiding behavior, or would it not because they don't have enough of a leadership role as you do? Thanks in advance!!

The way you pointed out behaviors and managed your dogs so responsively and without hesitation is a show of confident leadership. Thank you for the upload. However, I can’t get over all the fearless and intrepid people who take a dip/soak in water pooches relieve themselves in-they are brave souls.

I have a pitbull and he didn't bite once. There was a couple of times when dogs ran at him and tried to fight, he just slammed them to the ground.

If you don’t mind could you elaborate on your pitbull story? The behavior your talking about I see in other breeds including cane corsos. With the proper training I don’t see why the pit bull breed would be any different from the cane corsos. Do you think it’s possible that because you got your pit bull a little later in its life that it may have been an outcome of its environment? You also explained that your preferred breed has been known to be so stubborn they thought it was dead, I just wonder if their is a skew scale of judgment here.

My boxer is guilty of being the referee. She’s not overly interested in other dogs but if they’re all hyped up she just bops them (typical boxer style) and holds them down. Which doesn’t always go over well with most ‘dog park’ owners 🤦🏻‍♀️

I can't get over Battista pooping in the water! lol That had me giggling so hard. What a butthead though! I get what you mean about pit bulls. I don't do dog parks, not because my dogs aren't behaved enough, but I can't tell you how many dogs (huskies especially around here) are SO aggressive and pushy/dominant I don't risk them trying to start stuff with my dogs. I do meet ups in the park and walks on leash with other dogs of all breeds instead. We raised both of ours from puppies too, and would never do it different. They're 6 and 7 now!
