I agree. He loves the occasional fresh protein, rabbit is his favorite. He is beloved in our neighborhood for keeping down the rodent population especially moles that tear up people's lawns. He's often caught on security cameras hunting, he even leaves "gifts" for some neighbors.
@@romiadventures8187 do note the rabbits aren't rodents they are a species called Leporidae, which entirely separate from rodents, despite being in the same grand order of genus, the Glires.
It's actually how they play. they know better when their hurting other animals and actually do it on purpose to instigate their playfulness. animals are evil like us.
@@lazyrat6687 they are not Evil. Instinct is indifferent. The fact you see it as evil just shows that as a human we have outgrown our instinct quite a bit.
@@0miy0 I feel like if any animal were to evolve to match our intelligence, they would have the same amount of evilness as us, no matter the species. Intelligence can be a terrifying thing. If not, I don't know where the hell humans went wrong.
cats just eating a meal they SHOULD eat, because they have stomach that cannot digest plant protein, but only raw meat(best is to feed them a whole animal), cats are hypercarnivores aka obligate carnivores, most species of cats stand at the top of the food chain in ecosystems of land animals, just take a look at its cousins the Lions, Tigers, Jaguars, Leopards, and Cheetahs. There is also the black footed cat which had the highest hunting success rate of all cats despite being rather small, a success rate of 60%. Domestic cats themselves have a higher hunting success rate than Lions and Tigers.

@@LadyWarrior4JC he is still alive and healthy, consuming about 1 rabbit a week. Cats eat rabbits in the wild to survive and he was a wild cat when I found him.
Some awesome raw feeding footage near the start of the vid. +1 🥰 Feedback/comments: > 4:40 That shag carpet remnant looks pretty gross to me. Just sayin. > This vid is 5yrs old, so its long since become irrelevant, but did kitty have an infection going on in the left eye ? Lotta discharge visible. More vids ! 😄
Stupid question. Most cats wouldn't do this, did the cat chase and est rabbits off his own back. Or was there any kind of encouragement or training. I bet he makes a great ratter.. 😀
He was a wild cat and hunted to eat. Took me several months to tame him into a "pet". Hunting is instinctual for him and he still does it. His favorite meal is rabbit. I do feed him regular cat food but he still hunts occasionally 5 years later.
@@12347873 he's definitely been biten before. It's sad but it's the circle of life. I just wish he didn't bring them to me as gifts before he eats them.
Did you report the cat for killing the rabbit, or did you report the rabbit for being too slow to escape the cat? Did you report all predators in the wild who eat millions of other animals every single day?
