Great video Jonny! I have about 1500 vinyls, mostly classic rock, and I had to move them recently, I hadn’t listened to them in a while and it sparked a renewed interest in playing them!
I never got into vinyl's. Our oldest son (who lives near us) is into vinyl. I enjoy listening to music even though I am going deaf in my left ear. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Jonny, Good catching up with you on this. Very impressive and wide-ranging CD collection...may be more so than my own. 🙂I have a few of those long storage cases too, and a few years ago switched out most of the jewel cases for plastic sleeves to save more space. I understand that with a lot of music you can't really listen to much any more. That's like much of the experimental jazz and avant-garde stuff I have....just doesn't resonate the way it did 20-25 years ago. What are other favorite electronic/ambient favorite CDs for you? Allen Ginsberg..yes, I see you recently did a video on him and I'll look at that too. Thanks for sharing these and hope your Mrs. has safe travels out west. -Carm
I can't off the top of my head list any favorite electronic/ambient favorite CD's. I did not show in this video my cassette music collection. I have couple hundred music cassettes Also when we lived in Houston TX many years ago I taped a radio program called Hearts of Space-I have a whole shoe box of Hearts of Space New Age Music-Ambient music cassettes. I reached into the closet with the hopes I would grab immediately a Amazon CD storage bag with electronic/ambient music and I was lucky-here is a list of some of the CD's in this storage CD bag- many CD's by Underworld-Dead Can Dance-Mouse On Mars-many CD's by Aphex Twin -Apparat-Harold Budd-Tim Hecker-Michael Hedges-Twin Shadow-Andy Stott-Clark-Autechre-Fennesz just some of the CD's in this storage CD bag. I really like Underworld and Dead Can Dance.
@@saintonfire77 Very nice you kept those tapes. I remember Hearts of Space very well as well as a few other radio shows. I even did a video on the HOS label on cassette years ago. Oh yes, Aphex Twin, Harold Budd,(one of my very favorites) Michael Hedges, Dead can Dance...I like them all too. Thanks for sharing more of what you have.
