My cemetery takes great pride in our country and military. This is just a drive through it after we finished preparing for Memorial Day. God bless America and our soldiers.
❤🤍💙My favorite holiday, would you believe! My parents used to call this "Decoration Day" and we'd go to the local parade and then the 5-gun salute at the cemetery. They'd lay wreaths on the graves of veterans, there'd be alot of fanfare on this day, cookouts, etc. Both a solemn and happy day, if that makes sense. I appreciate all the respect you have at your job, Grim. It really shows. God bless you and your family, and God bless all the veterans out there we love so much💙🤍❤

Hi Grim Grim I am glad you took one of my ideas and made a video. You really do work in a beautiful place. All the flags that are flying are beautiful and so are the grounds. You really take pride in your work and so you should. Memorial Day is all about the veterans. Let me tell you what I do. I am a cashier in a popular supermarket and whenever I ring up a vet before they leave I always say to them THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and they always say back to me IT WAS AN HONOR TO SERVE AND THANK YOU MA’AM. It makes me feel good to recognize them and I think they really do appreciate it. That’s my little part Your cemetery is huge I mean really HUGE!!! I agree with that this is the best country. America the beautiful. I am a proud American. I fly an American flag in my front yard. I didn’t go out and buy a flag after 911 like everybody did. I bought a regular metal flagpole and been flying a flag ever since I bought my house in 1996. I just put up a new flag yesterday. You have to change every now and then. You are a true American Grim and I love to listen to you talk about your country. You must be a veteran. This is a great 5 star video and I am proud to see your corner of the country and it certainly is a beauty. Thank you for sharing this wonderful cemetery with all of us. Hey Irene! It's awesome that you thank the military members you come across, I do the exact same thing whenever I see a veteran's hat or anything like that. They don't hear it enough. I actually do have a video of the inside of the tower, but it's from before I even worked there. It only goes up so high on the inside to allow for burials, but it is gorgeous inside and out. I'm so happy to hear how many of my people are true Americans, including you. There are too many people that complain about mundane stuff when they don't even realize that we have rights that most other places don't. Imagine being somewhere that there wasn't a freedom of religion, press, a right to bear arms or free speech.. Kinda gloomy to think of. We are truly blessed. And honestly digging the holes is an ordeal, and sometimes you have to deal with certain things, but it's usually straightforward. We put large sheets of wood on the ground as to not tear up the grass, use a backhoe and a couple dump trucks to remove a good amount of dirt, and haul off some of the soil while some is saved to be placed back into the hole after the deceased is laid down. It's very hot in the summer, but in the winter it is very difficult to even find the plot sometimes. And if we put the concrete vault down (for the casket to be lowered into) and it gets flooded, we use a pump to get rid of all the water before putting a beautiful setup and the lowering device on. Meanwhile we are also using hand shovels to make the hole straight and even. When we are digging to put cremains down, that is all done by hand. In that case, we cut the top grass off to be placed over after, then dig down until we fill about 8 to 10 large buckets. After we put the cremains down, we empty the buckets back into the hole and place the grass on top and pound it down to where you can't even tell anything was done. Not tooting my own horn, but we are damn good at it lol. Hope that gave you enough info. As always, it's great to hear from you and I hope you have a beautiful day!

Looks great. I remember going to an honor ceremony for Sammy L. Davis...right at the start of dessert storm. he was a congressional medal of honor recipient from the vietnam era. In the movie 'forest gump', the put tom Hanks head on sammy's body when he was getting the congressional medal of honor. Anyway....during the ceremony many veterans spoke....and one said...."don't let anyone sneak in and steal your rights and your country" that really stuck with me....and I thought...omg...no way could that happen....but now days....I wonder...people need to pay attention. I love our flag, our country and our veterans...and I'm blessed to take care of them.❤

It’s unfortunate that this new generation hell, even mine generation is taking granted what’s going on my girl grandfather that served in world war two would be turning in his grave over what the hell is going on the country it is sad despicable. But grim I will always love this country, but who is leading our country is despicable and disgusting. This was the land of freedom, but for now I might as well we a dictatorship it’s no longer democracy is discussing what happened in our country

Everyone thinks they are entitled but don't realize what we actually have, the reason they feel so entitled being that they were raised in such a free country.
