Thank you so much for making this video Nell. I’m 26, and I have just been scheduled for my SECOND colposcopy... I just had my 4th abnormal pap last Wednesday. And got the call today for high abnormal cells. Last year at this time I only had low grade. And two years before that test I had only abnormal. I’m very nervous about getting another Colposcopy in a few weeks because I have been having abnormal pains in my lower left, like how you described in your first video along with on and off spotting. I have an ultrasound to check that out soon. I hope all is well for you💕 seeing your video brings me comfort. Thank you for being so brave.

Your videos are very helpful. I also have 2B. I’m 59 and had already been through menopause. I wish I would have seen this video when I got diagnosed. By the way, your description of how you felt when given your diagnosis was spot on! It is exactly how I felt! My brachytherapy in the us was different. First a surgery to put a plastic thing in the cervix. I got 4 separate treatments. The actual treatment sounds like what you had but no anesthesia and 4 separate times. Extremely painful!

I’m currently waiting for my appointment on my urgent two week referral having had a lump discovered on my cervix (same as you, after an all clear smear) and some other symptoms. You are such a strong, young lady, Nell. I am having surgery Upon surgery (started in 2019), 5 in total. It started pretty much just like your story. But for me it started in my vagina. And I was quickly told I had HPV 16 and several more. I was referred to a bigger hospital, 3 hours by car. And had 3 surgeries. Then I have been having controlled my HPV. And the decided to take the button of my cervix. I was not wanting this, but did it. Now, last week, I had to do it again because there were severe cells that needed to be gone. However, the surgeon made a hole in my abdominal wall during surgery. And I read she just stitched the mistake and closed off. Have antibiotics and stopped everything. I have been waiting by the phone for 10 days, just to know what has been going on. I am scared she did not remove what she was supposed to😅🥲😪 All the best.you are looking great, Nell. I am so happy you have Tom. I am alone. Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴

@@babblingbythebrook Hi, they said two to three weeks and it’s now been two weeks.. the longer it’s gone on the more nervous I have become. But I have constant pelvic pain, mainly over my left side near my ovary, spotting and bleeding, and bleeding after sex, low back pain and leg pains.. so who knows what’s going on, but I definitely don’t feel normal. Especially until you know for sure what the problem is. It’s so easy to let it all consume you and take yourself to the worst scenario, like you’re mentally preparing yourself. Thank you so much. It took about 9 months after treatment for my scans to look like things had settled and the cancer had gone. I had to be monitored closely every 12 weeks for the first 12 months as that’s how long it took for the inflammation from treatment to go down. Physically I am still healing and some things have gotten worse over time like bladder issues. Menopause is an ongoing thing I’m battling with. It’s hard to say how long it took to heal as my recovery overlapped with a second cancer diagnosis 6 months later and it’s all a bit of a blur x

Hello dear, I have the same kind of experience just with the difference that before me going for radiotherapy and chemo - Starting now in January 2nd, i went through a total hysterectomy (34 age) as I already have one child and the doctors considered it necessary ( i wish i had more time to freeze the eggs as I would have wanted other children ). However, I find the information very useful and there is one point i would like to ask you about - please are you sure that the cis-platinum chemo treated patients do have some chance that their hair will stay ? Because i have very long and beauriful hair and it would mentally help me a lot if they would remain. Also is there any side effects of the external radiation you experienced ? How were you coping with the chemo - Were you able to physically recover within the interval From week to week ?
@babblingbythebrook
@babblingbythebrook Год назад
Hi Monika, good luck for tomorrow starting your treatment. I had cisplatin and kept all of my hair. I was told that in some cases it can thin your hair but the majority of people I’ve spoken to, who had that chemo, managed to keep their hair so I hope that makes you feel a little better about everything. The main radiotherapy symptom for me was diarrhoea and I felt really nauseous and slept so much. Be prepared to feel super tired, although I know everyone’s symptoms are different. I spent most of the time throughout treatment asleep. I hope you have a good support network. Take as much help from friends, family and your oncology team as possible. I’ll be thinking of you and if you have any more questions just let me know xxx

You’re the first person I’ve heard that may have had the same cancer that I had. Did they ever tell you the name of it??? I had adenocarcinoma. They said, way back in ‘95, that it was rare and usually affected women who hadn’t had kids (I didn’t). I was diagnosed in 1995 at 39 yrs old. Real looooong story short, after having symptoms for several years (that’s right, years), I finally got the problem checked out. My tumor was the size of a mans fist (description by the doctor 😱), and couldn’t be removed by surgery. I did radiation for 6 weeks and two weeks later I had the internal radiation with the rods. I was able to talk them into keeping me doped up on Ativan and I had a morphine drip (actually my shrink was the motivator). I also have IBS that got worse after the treatment. It was a bitch if a time, but the tumor went away and I lived to tell the tale. Well, a very short version of the tale. Glad you’re better too!

This is so similar to my cervical cancer journey. I’m so happy your treatments worked so well for you. I have bad effects from the radiation in my colon now so I understand everything you’re going through. Such a rough journey. God bless

you just scared me to death! my cancer had spread to 4 sets of lymph nodes. i have finished treatment but i have no lymphodema. i wonder if that means that it didnt work??? i hate this 3 months wait to find out if the cancer is gone or not.

Sorry maybe I didn’t explain properly. Some people end up with lymphedema and some don’t. My oncologist never knew the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes until she could see on my scans that my lymph nodes were starting to shrivel, indicating there must have been some rogue cells in there that couldn’t be seen. This was only detecting after my treatment finished because the treatment works for weeks/months after. She’s never actually confirmed the treatment worked. Just every scan they have done since my treatment ended in 2017 has shown no evidence of disease. Also my symptoms of lymphedema actually started before my treatment even started x

Emmy Nutter hello, the waiting is nerve wracking definitely and it’s hard to keep you mind occupied with everything that’s going on in the world. It’s good you are having the colposcopy though, it’s important for them to see what’s going on. Good luck and please let me know how it goes xx

@@babblingbythebrook Went to the doctor this morning, before it started they said they will only do a biopsy if they think they need to and he ended up taking 2 punch samples from my cervix. He wouldn't say how I looked though. The doctor was just trying to be positive and keep me at ease the whole time. Said I'll know more next week when the biopsy results come back.

To everyone reading this please turn to Jesus He loves you and wants to save you, He is the God of miracles The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, I seen God do amazing things in my life and in the lifes of people I know, He can do the same for you, In your darkness hour call on Him, God saved someone I love from an illness leading to death, There is nothing impossible to God, Its as simple as asking Jesus to be your personal Lord and Saviour, Jesus will answer you, I know this because it happened to me when I called out to God

Great...I have clear vaginal discharge every time I pee which does not smell or anything but it has been coming since 2 months..free flowing discharge .. During the examination while the doctor checked internally there was blood in her fingers but I have no other discomfort or problem...pap smear came normal but my USG showed cervicitis and normal uterus n ovary...after which I have taken every medicine they gave but the discharge has not gone! I have no idea what this is.🤕🥴.
