Frank said on a podcast that in these shows we are getting to see Gerard as his most authentic self and without the personas he used to make up for every album and it just WARMS MY HEART. I love this era more than all the others.
what’s so beautiful about this tour is that you can see they’re all just enjoying themselves and having so much fun, i saw them live two days ago and it was the cutest shit ever because gerard kept talking in this goblin voice and saying the most random things, it rlly just felt more like hanging out with a friend than being at a concert
Its so unreal how we actually have mcr touring the world rn with gerard wearing weird costumes and talk about everything on stage. They are my favorite band ever and its still unreal that they are active now in my lifetime
I love this!! He is soo different on stage, all his shyness melts away. It's hard not to become an arrogant little shit when ppl love you like that, but I hope he stays 100% stable. They look like they're having so much fun!
All the guys are looking great for a touring band at their age! Gerard’s been having lots of moments where he looks near-exactly how he did during the Revenge era.
@@astra8308 Chester Bennington was the co-lead vocalist of Linkin Park, until his death in 2017. Projekt Revolution was Linkin Park's traveling festival, and they featured MCR on the bill in 2007- that's why Gerard talked about him.
Thank you for doing this, for those of us who couldn't be there in person this is so good. The difference in Gee is so heartwarming to see, they all look so much happier than they did in the world contamination tour. Once again thanks for all your hard work, Its appreciated.
Agreed, I couldn’t make it either. I saw them live in 2011 though. This side of MCR I’d definitely want to see, all chilled out, not caring, not routinely planning every song in the setlist to play exactly the same way at the same time. It’s great. Very chill MCR vibes.
Like after listening to this band for so long, I have never heard so much dialogue from him. And honestly. Huge fan. I wonder if this is also some creative stuff for a (hopefully) new album.
Same here. I loved his moments of sass and goofiness on stage from older videos and like from the Hesitant Alien era. I didn't expect him to turn it up to 11 on this tour and I love it so much. And that would be so cool! I could imagine like random dialogue bits in songs or transition tracks like in Danger Days.
I'm really, really happy and proud to see how far Gerard has come. He is an absolute contagious force of nature on stage and as a person, I don't think we'll ever get a frontman/showman ever he channels the great rock musicians and loves what he does, is passionate and happy. It really shows, I'm so happy for Gerard and the whole gang coming back.
After they broke up I eventually lost that fire and special interest that I had in them. I didn't realize that this video would effect me as much as it has. I'm so happy to hear that things finally feel right and they can let in the sunlight and enjoy this. I'm seeing them live in a couple months and it still doesn't feel real. I'm so thankful for them and the community being in my life when they were; they helped me find my sunlight at the time and I'm so happy for this to all come full circle omg. I'm feeling that spark again and I'm so happy they're back. I'm working on finding my sunlight again and I feel like I'm reconnecting with a precious part of myself through their comeback
God bless that you've been getting that spark back 💙 The band got me through so much when I started listening to them and Gerard literally reignited my passion for art when I was so ready to give up on it. I totally get what you mean. I believe in you and I hope you have the best time ever at your show!
OH MY GOD SOMETHING I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED IN MY LIFE WAS GERARD WAY SAYING "that is a spicy meataball 🤌" 😭😭 also omg when him and frank hugged and the "DONT GET EXCITED" HAHAHA THEYRE AWARE OF THE FANDOM
I laughed so hard at the “don’t get excited!” bit when I first watched it. I don’t even belong to that side of the fandom and I still felt called out 😂
Not to ruin the fun bc it is very funny but they very much they know about it because it’s been brought to their attention since it started (the late 00’s) and people have actually harassed them with it IRL on multiple occasions
@@mrbusinesss1 Yeah, and that's why I keep away from that side of the fandom. Whoever ships it, I let them be, but when people actively try to show that stuff off to the guys in real life, it's just so unsettling. Still, I love that Gerard was aware and was able to joke about it.
@@argo_n_arts True, I agree. Love that they’re able to joke about it too. I just find it kinda infuriating that for the past 4 or so years i’ve been active in the fandom a group of fans only seem to care and post about the ship rather than. Y’know. The band or their music. Like even on shit that’s got nothing to do with it
This makes me so happy. They look like they’re really enjoying themselves fr this time and that’s absolutely amazing that they were able to revisit this and be mcr again
I was at the first Dublin concert, Gerards rambles gave me 3am messing around with a friend at a sleepover vibe. Should’ve included the “fuck the queen” bit 😳
I saw them in Dublin and it was just so awesome seeing a band in the flesh that I’ve listened to for 16 years and used to have all over my walls as a young teen 🥹 also seeing them aged and so real and relatable was honestly next level, feel truly privileged.
I cant help but smile when watching this. Back in the 6th grade I had a huge obsession with MCR. I would watch all of the interviews, listen to all the songs. And honestly I must say Gerard seems so much happier and joyful. To be honest I think that break was good, maybe they needed it?
Awwww, that's how I was back in 2016/2017. And same here. The California show in 2019 was awesome but you could totally see how out of it they were since it had been so long. They all feel more in sync and more prepared, so they're having so much more fun and I love it.
Knowing their past history with tours, how they ran themselves absolutely ragged and Mollified during TBP and pushed themselves in dangerdays, hearing that Gee, and I’m sure the others, OPENED THE FUC^KING BLINDS!! Let the sun in, had fun, means thé absolute world too me
