Lol tv was not in HD back then, so most video taken was not either. But even nowadays, the vast majority, if not 100%, of things recorded for entertainment are filtered through softening effects. I recall many celebrities complaining about the advancement of HDTV when it became huge. Softening effects have been happening in Hollywood since the Golden Age of film. No one had pores and blemishes on tv before 2009. 😆
