You literally have to listen to the whole album to understand this song But long story short Guy is dying of cancer. He is trying to get his gf to dump him so she doesn’t have to be in love with a dying man. That she is better off without him. He is saying anything and everything to get her to leave and if she would just turn to him and say I don’t love you than he knows he would have succeeded
The reason the couple is shown to be black and white is because they are not meant to be together, as in, they are too different even when they thought they would complement each other, where love would eventually perish and dry out (I don't love you like I did yesterday), so you see the girl crying black tears at the end, basically pouring out tears the same color as the guy, meaning he was an important part of herself while it lasted. BTW, I love the fact that you take your time to comment on the ideas behind the song in a extended way, like some other reactors just comment two or three things and it's wrap. You just earned a sub! :)
If you like this one, one of my favorites by them is Disenchanted. It’s a similar quieter song like this and really meaningful. Thanks for doing these! I really appreciate seeing these reactions
I think the song's perspective is from someone who is bitter/angry that their relationship ended, and their partner didnt even give them the courtesy to explain why they broke up. So while yeah it's better to not be brutal, the song's POV is from the person who was already broken up with - who want answers. So think about it from the perspective of the person who got dumped. Someones you are bitter about it, and you would rather the person had the courage to say they didn't love you and that's why they ended it. Because when they just walk away without an answer, you are left wondering why. What did I do wrong? etc.
The album concept is a guy dying of cancer so pretty much this song Is saying the girl he’s trying to get it out of his significant other that she is losing the love.
It’s from a concept album, you really should just listen to them all in one to FULLY get it. It’s STILL one of my ALLLLL TIME FAVOURITE ALBUMS! There really aren’t many albums that you can play on repeat for 15 YEARS and STILL LOVE! IF YOU CAN *GO SEE THEM PLAY!* They really are one of the BEST LIVE BANDS I’VE >EVER!< SEEN! And I’ve seen MOST of their equals haha 🤣
ooh can you please do a react listen to MCR "Bulletproof Heart"? it's legit one of my favorites, and in my opinion, one of their best musically and lyrically together. Keep rockin' dude!
Also important to note that they did a song called Mama which was a song that they used at the end of The Sopranos show for the finale. Gerald Way who is the front singer there you know the emo kid. Also wrote The Umbrella Academy and co-wrote Doom Patrol he is more than just a singer he's a writer of comics and you know does a lot of good and creative stuff. He also was able to get Liza Minnelli to come in and sing on the song Mama. She's his hero icon whatever..
I interpret myself as a person grieving a lost love angry that the other basically burned him, basically calling the other person a coward for not being able to just say she doesnt love him anymore. When you go would you even turn to say I dont love you like I did yesterday.
huge fan super emo here been listening since middle school. love the guy on my left with the stay away from negative people. @2:36 we are sometimes in love with the idea of love. he should do his own youtube music reaction video.

Such a good song. If you're still going down the My Chemical Romance rabbit hole, check out some songs from their first album " I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" Some notable songs from that album are: "Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us," "Demolition Lovers," and "Drowning Lessons"
Also if you don't mind your heart getting ripped out and stomped on you could probably listen to Lewis Capaldi. I love Lewis Capaldi if you haven't heard him he's worth listening to Scottish singer actually. And those Babyface boys always surprise you. If you want proof of this look at Joe South don't make you want to go home. Or Animals lead singer Babyface boy and Damn when he sings you would not believe that that boys comes out of his mouth. Same thing with Lewis Capaldi you would never buy that voice coming out of him.
hey, can you react to Na Sua Estante by Pitty? I’m sure you’re going to like it ps: it is in Portuguese, so if you read the lyrics before reacting, the music video will make total sense to you
