Yeah, My Chemical Romance are big fans of Queen, notice the lead singer's face on the TV in the hospital room at the beginning, coupled with the piano riff, it's a tribute to Bohemian Rhapsody. That signature whine on the guitar in the guitar solo sounds very Brian May.
I love it that you have discovered this band, there are a lot of songs you should react from them like Helena, The Gost of You, Mama and This is how I disappear. And yes they have said that they biggest inspiration was queen.
Yes more my chemical romance reactions please! My chem and queen are my top two favorite bands and I love that you've reacted to Queen and now My chem:)
The fact that you picked up on their Queen influence is amazing! Not many people pick that up but Gerard Way, and the band, lists Queen as a major influence. Bravo! Lover the reaction as always!
Oh, yes, please do some more MCR. Teenagers, Ghost of You, Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na), and Helena are some suggestions. They have amazing, entertaining videos as well. I enjoy seeing people that just love music, all kinds, and explore it. This was a great reaction. Loved watching it.
This band is beyond special, and Gerard Way is like freakin Mother Teresa. I know I speak for millions in the fandom when I say that so many of us wouldn't be here without him 🖤
You definitely need to check out "Cherub Rock" by the Smashing Pumpkins. I think MCR is a great band who had a really good mix of influences that the mixed in just the right way to create something fresh. They definitely owe a bit to Queen, David Bowie, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Green Day.
Amazing reaction love ya vids. The story is about a guy dying very young from cancer and is talking about how his earliest memory is going to see a parade with his dad. So the black parade is representing death and that when you die you see your best memory, and the girl in it is the widow of the man. would recommend famous last words by my chemical romance. Guitar is incredible in it
So I'm new here but this song actually makes me think of my mom who passed. The meaning behind this song is that when you die you remember your favorite memory as you pass. It's actually a true belief from way back that people believed your most treasured moment comes to you at your moment of death. When people took pictures of their dead loved ones (circa 1800's) they believed they were helping their loved ones move on to the afterlife and if they didn't they would be stuck there in limbo. So this song actually goes through the death process and the light and the dark of the moment. Just a fun fact since this was a reaction video and sometimes it helps to have the meaning or history behind why it was written. :) I love your reaction btw!
YES! Love MCR and this song! They were definitely influenced by Queen. Brian May also played this song with them live in 2011. Here is the link! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OfaxD9bxCHw.html
If you like Queen then you will like My Chemical Romance! Please Check out 'I'm not okay', 'Helena', 'Bulletproof Heart'... there are so many. These guys are special.
If Queen could give birth My Chemical Romance would be the youngest child and the oldest would be Muse virtually Queen with a bit more funk and without Freddie.
