8:27 😄 I'm now imagining your grandma-sounding husband say "that's the one that started it all!" waving a cane and wearing glasses at the tip of their nose.
Ali, you are a beautiful soul! You give so much of yourself to others. Your videos always make me smile and feel happy. You are inspiring. There is nothing wrong with collecting and hanging onto things that make you feel happy. You never know, you may one day decide you need them for something and be glad you saved them. Hugs and love!
I also am a collector ;). For me I have given away several which I didn't "love"... "spark joy". I still have several in various sizes. All of which I love. I change sizes often enough, that I'm keeping them all! My favorite will change with seasons. I would say don't sell. (unless it's one that doesn't spark joy). You just might have another season of A6. Thank you for sharing with us!
Ali I know this video is 18 million years old but my heart flutters for that old sized personal deluxe buttered rum. And “slow to see” brought tears to my eyes the first time I saw it because I related so much to it. If you ever decide to sell it (if you haven’t already) my life would be complete if you thought of me. I’d love to purchase it ❤️
Those are all so beautiful! I have wanted a chic sparrow since I started with the TN’s & just can’t afford one yet! One day.... lOl 😆 Anyhow, I completely understand how you got so many! They look like they are so easy to love & hard to part with! I have a Webster’s pages one that I found on clearance right now, but one day I’m hoping to get a B6 size real leather one like yours. I am in love with them all!! You’re so lucky & I am so envious of you! Thank you for sharing your collection with us & also the video where you showed the sizes & stuff! That helped a lot! Have a blessed day! Sincerely, Nicole 👋🏼
Oh! Writing thoughts down before you read... that is BRILLIANT! I need to do that. My brain gets in the way so much with God. Thanks for the idea sister. :0) ❤️❤️
I just ordered a Pemberley Honey with an inscription I got from one of Ann Voskamp's devotionals. Such beautiful work Chic Sparrow does! Your video was great, I love seeing all the different leathers.
I would buy that Darcy from you in a heartbeat! I just found your channel and you are amazing, sooo much great content!!! I love your personality and energy and thank you for making them!
I'm not up to 6 Chic Sparrow TNs! 2 pocket, 1 personal, 1 wide, 2 b6 slims! I have yet to set up the B6 slim b/c on is red for Christmas and the mr darcy buttered rum is on the way! Can't wait!
I love your storyteller! It's gorgeous! I wasn't a big fan of Darcy on the CS site, but I love how your have aged! I 'm going to have to save up for a buttered rum now. I wish toffee was still available though...
I loooove your manatee! I wish those were a thing. Personally I'm not afraid to sell the ones I don't use/grow out of. It's part of the fun for me. I have a pocket buttered rum that I don't plan to get rid of so I can watch the patina process. Love b6slim
Starting small with a Mr Darcy Personal my first Chick Sparrow if only postage was a little cheaper to Australia. This one is a treat for my birthday cant wait to welcome it into my world lol.
love your refined collection! so assorted, so beautiful. I too have those I can't let go, no matter what! isn't that ok? lol please more videos, miss you too much. pam in texas
I got the creme chocolate in personal and it is awesome. But this video is making me want to buy more. Lol Ali is a bad influence. Wait I mean an awesome influence. Chic Sparrows are addicting for sure.
She is responsible for me finally pushing me into B6 Slim territory! I got the notification that my Mr Darcy is in transit and I can't wait for it to arrive! Enjoy your Creme Chocolate, that is such a gorgeous choice! I get what you mean, one taste of C.S and we are junkies! haha!
Beautiful collection! B6 is my jam too! I go with the regular one though! I also just ordered a nano for my new wallet. I was using a pocket. But I think it might be too big for a wallet.
Girl i straight up covet your storyteller wide! All the heart eyes!! Jesus take the wheel! Also you are the reason for my obsession so I love hate you but really i only love you......TN's are the only way I plan and the only way I art journal now.... It's a beautiful obsession lol
I've fallen into the bunny hole, I have my son my bythe bought a creme Brule creme personal next one I'm getting is a outlander navy blue pocket plus 1st of June so excited, your a great influence lol
Ali - you’ve got some beautiful A6s there - I’ll be happy to help you unload if you decide to sell! I love A6! I am toying with B6slim size. What are your favorite inserts?
If you are willing to part with the Ali Brown Joy, I may purchase it. I missed it when that one was being sold. I love the color, it is absolutely radiant, just like you! 😍
Ooo I love seeing your collection! I've been thinking for a while to try either a personal or B6. I'm in a standard and A6, but am feeling for something in between. B6 seems to be winning out though. :D Gotta get me one. Thanks for sharing!
Question.. why did you acquire so many that you frankly do not use? Innocent question. I have a few standard and a few pocket sized but for practical purposes, I feel like it makes more sense to find a good way to store all the inserts when I am done with them.. I feel like perhaps sometimes people are too focused on the canvas. Why not just get a regular notebook? They store much easier. At what point does it just become a treated leather collection? Btw.. the first one you stated that you want to sell looks terrific. Perhaps the most elegant one you showed (at least that’s how it looks on camera). Cheers and happy journaling.
That is a great question! You answered it yourself. :) I personally like to switch my covers around as some women do purses. Some people collect model cars, Norman Rockwell plates or state spoons...I collect notebook covers...which is where the video title came from. Hope that answers the question and thank you so much for the kind comment on my first notebook and for watching! Take care!
Omg, love it! 😍📚 You definitely made me feel better about my CS collection 🙈😊🙊 (I posted a pick of it on IG for the CS photo contest if you're curious). Love your channel!
I’m in a similar dilemma. I just bought a narrow handsome toffee bc I was using narrow inserts at the time but now I’m so into b6 slim. I got it as a gift tho so it’s rlly hard to part even tho it may have no use 😔
Ali where do you get your calendar inserts and where do you get your cut outs? Can you just believe I have learned about these planners yesterday. The first cover has been ordered now tying to get things to fill it with.
I print and bind my own calendar inserts from Growing Up Goddess online and I'm not sure about the cutouts you're referring to? Could you give me a timestamp so I can figure that out for ya? So excited you're getting in the TNs! They are so fun! xoxo
On Saturday I got my very first Chic Sparrow. An Angel Pemberly in B6 slim.... I'm just starting to get it set up.... I need to buy more inserts for it.... where can you suggest getting good inserts that will hold up to all kinds of media? I am toying with making my own, except I am not good at all at binding, so am really not inspired to do that. I only purchased two inserts from Chic Sparrow, and am kicking myself in the A** for not getting at least 4. HELP.
Okay, since watching this video, I just went back and I am in process of placing another order... LOL, I am getting a classic chocolate B6 slim and a creme brule nano.... and some inserts, cause, I just have to have inserts to tide me over till I decide what to do about them..... Also..... YOU are an enabler !!!!
Hi Ali! I just found and subscribed to your channel. I am interested in knowing how you do your bible studying. I have a prayer/Bible journal that I created, but am lacking creativity to add to it. Just wondering what you do. Love your channel!!
No judge. It's a beautiful collection. My collection has grown as well. It's quite random and wonderful. I will never part with any of them. lol. You should keep your Darcy. Just take a couple of them and store the journals you've done for your sons in them or with them. They can use the journals when they get older.
phennec, That is a great idea! Her little men see her use them all the time, I bet at some point they will mean allot to to them and encourage them to use them in their own way.
I have already sold a few from this bunch. The only one I would sell currently is the Teneriefe Sea B6Slim classic. I'm not loving the way it has darkened with age. It's more of a deep teal now.
Omg, I love this! If you ever decide to sell your Sojourner, please reach out to me ... I have been looking for an A6. Better go check the bst page again, its been a while. Take care.
I print and bind my own calendar inserts from Growing Up Goddess online and then I buy the 68gsm Tomoe River paper standard insert from Taroko Designs and then just chop an inch off of it. :)
It really makes my heart happy to see videos about your Sparrows again! I’ve been following you on this journey since I last September. I know you do more artistic things now, but I miss the good old planning in a Sparrow days! Haha
I love seeing your collection. I think I'm going to try to catch the second chance sales to help me figure out the size... and when I work out the perfect size, I'll then get it in a Mr. Darcy leather I like. For now, I'm just playing around with laminate to make my own cover since I got tired of coming up with ideas to use up little strips of paper from trimming pocket inserts. 😅
I got a titanic nano for a wallet and love it. I’m currently wavering between Chic Sparrow and Keelindori for an A5. Won’t be until December that I can get one, anyway, so there’s time to decide.
That one is a retired leather and I'll know I would regret selling it. I'm moving from a pocket to an A6 for my spiritual journal so I'm hangin' on to it. :)
You should auction the ones you don't use, so you can donate to your favorite non-profit. That way something good can come out of being sad about getting rid of the ones you don't use!
