I'm a big fan of the classics,Jane Austen is my favorite writer,but also the Brontës,Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens, Elizabeth Gaskell. I'm also an Elvis fan and I love to read about him. Georgette Heyer is also a favorite,Agatha Christie,Philippa Gregory,oh and the Stephanie Plum bounty hunter series by Janet Evanovich...sorry,I can go on and on. Reading is my favorite hobby 😊 I ordered the Wuthering Heights from Sweet Cherry Publishing today! And that Jane Eyre folio is on my wishlist. Jane Eyre is my second favorite book ever 😊
Ooh, heather! This was a dangerous video for me. I wrote down one title then another then another until my pen ran out of ink. 🖋🖋🖋 I absolutely want to do some sort of tag or read-along or discussion of a fairytale/folk tale in 2024. Would love to know your thoughts about that or let me know if you'd ever be interested in a conversation of some sort. I hadn't heard of some of these illustrators or editions. Must get The Selfish Giant-- so beautiful! Tam Lin is a favorite and your observation of the similarities with Jane and Mr. Rochester are so archetypal and wonderful! Hi Celeste! Yes I love that idea! I love reading fairytales in the winter and was already thinking about videos involving illustrated fairytales. I did (what I call on my website etc) an "Illustrator Explore" on Beauty and the Beast last winter and I have another fairy tale themed "illustrator explore" that I am planning to get out in February at latest.
