There is an updated video of this one when I reached 50 builds and you can watch it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-20GT4KbbCUY.html
Bro you are to hard on yourself. They all look great to me. I know your striving for perfection but even your early modeling efforts are great...thank you for sharing your collection..
I come no where near your expertise in weathering. Obviously I'm no pro judge, but if you hadn't pointed them out I wouldn't have noticed any of those flaws.
I think it's the nature of many scale modelers. A scale modeler may see so much imperfections in their models when just about everyone else thinks those models are done quite well.
The more I look at high level model makers videos like yours, the more I consider you guys as true artists. More authentic artists than so-called conceptual artists or performers who are blatlant frauds. You guys have found a way to imitate reality, which is like imitating nature: The true purpose of authentic arts. Your art is stunning, man. I can smell oil and petrol while looking at your planes.
No, unfortunately. I must have built three or four 1/72 planes when I was 12 (35 years ago) and I don't think I was much gifted. But I absolutely love it. I'd dream of having such a collection in my office. Thanks for sharing your passion.
@@asian2700 Yeah i figured that out lol, 2 weeks later I'm a bit better but his worst are still much better than my bests. Im going to start to try weathering soon.
It’s funny with a lot of these builders who say I’m not happy with this or that, or how the model turned out. I look at each one and think “well, you’ve done a lot better than I would have” !! 👍😉
Mate if your enjoying what you doing , and your happy with your models and having fun and passing time distressing doing it then that’s all that matters negative comments deserve nothing, and some of your models awesome work !!! And I’ve been building for 45 years 👍🇦🇺😀 keep on building 💕
I'm green with envy ! Brilliant collection, very impressed. My Dear old Mother washed all my kits to get rid of the dust. The bottom of our bath was covered in Ariel's & DF loops, Propeller blades & tailwheels. As I was only 8 years old I cried & cried....then a few years later, I discovered WOMEN, & everything concerning a meaningful hobby went downhill. Still, an excellent collection. How do you find the time ? .
I have family but my kids are a bit older now (11 and 12) so I had a few hour evening time, I also going to bed late :) now I'm trying this to be a full time job
Don't listen to the haters. They have nothing better to do, as I see it from you showing your 1st models to your last I can really see the improvements you have made to your collection. Thanks for showing your models. Keep up the good work.
Not just a beautiful collection, but so encouraging to watch as you give honest commentary about mistakes, etc. As someone returning to the hobby after a number of years, I'm making my share of frustrating gaffs. Must learn from each and keep improving. Thanks for showing how possible it is! Love your channel.
This was the main reason to post videos, to show new techniques I'm trying, learning from my own mistakes, and to show if I eventually do any progress in Scale modelling. After 4 years it was good idea to make video such this and give a little something what was going on behind these builds.
hello sir! thank you, i thought it will be good idea to include box arts here, brand and scale info, its something i really dislake when someone posting some model kits photos but never acyually include any info about kit (version, scale and brand) its just easier for everyone know what they dealing with
That is one hell of a collection, something to be proud of regardless of how good or bad you think they are! Love the tail on the f5e Tiger.....one of my favs!
I remember the Revell 1/72 scale B-24 "Blue Streak" and B-17 "Memphis Belle" when i was a kid. They weren't much to speak of but that's about all they had for those two bombers back then but still enjoyed them. Loved the box art.
It was nice to see your progression as a modeler. You can really see the improvement. I particularly like your post build overall impressions and difficulties you experienced. It's nice to see that your not afraid to tell us what and where you made mistakes. Thanks for posting
I really like that about him, too. Very inspiring work with the stories behind them. It's very brave, and I think I'm not the only person getting inspired here to work on more models and have fun developing skills to make them better and better.
Beautiful work! 1/48 seems to be a magic scale for you - I love your realistic chipping and metal effects, which really suits this scale perfectly. Your honesty about what you like and dislike about your models is very helpful (and even encouraging) for less experienced modellers such as myself. Thank you very much for sharing your work. It is very inspiring.
I'm also always the strictest critic to myselfe and my modelling 😄 So i do understand you! But hey - nobody is perfect! And your work looks amazing!!!👍
Hey guys, i am suprised, no one found a secret message in this video revealing my 2 next timelapse videos? shame on you guys :D :D :D come on its not that hard!!!
Dawid...I too have problems with over weathering. That being said, you are a superb modeler. I'll be using some of your techniques on upcoming models. And yes, I will be posting my models and not trolling others!
That F-4 Phantom was called Showtime 100. It survived a massive dogfight against several dozen Mig-17s but was blown apart by a SAM missle and it crashed into the ocean later that day. Both pilots survived
Great looking models! Love your honest opinions about the kits. I'm a 1/72 guy so I took interest in the B-24. I remember building that kit in the 70s when I was a kid!
That is very true & I hope I can pull that off soon it will be so cool to get back to painting (artwork) & modeling cuz I have tons of ww1 aircraft to keep me involved for quite some time !! Thanks again !!
You've shown and stated the progress of your model building, and I consider your talents very good. I have never built anything as well as you, and I find this video very informative and inspiring.
Awesome collection! The F4 is truly Phantastic! Really great to see your progression and your videos have really helped so many to develop their skills! Thank you! 🙏🏼
Love the collection. I have about 100 aircraft at the shop were i work.the customers love them.they aren't as nice as yours . Your worst one is equivalent to my best😂😂😂😂
You are very well experienced at your craft my friend, but do not be so hard on yourself. I can see you are very patient in your work, and you seem to quite like creating these models. Not many others take such dedication into making a perfect model, however you should understand that it takes time. Take time in your method, be careful and be passionate my friend. You will prosper even further.
Every kit is a learning curve. You'll make great ones, you'll make rubbish ones, and some you'll even just throw away. The thing is to enjoy and encourage others, so keep on at it and have fun!
Wow man very nice you make the worst kits look nice you're a very good model builder and if you continue you will get better and better and it's really good that you don't let others weight you down Your always positive and will be
Fantastic builds well done. I used cut glass . i made for model stands in a mirrored display cabinet so wheel up configuration could be displayed you could not see the display stands easily .I good visual effect.cheers Chris wyatt
Hey....Interesting works. I appreciate the commentary on what you learned with the various builds. I can relate, even though you are far ahead of me in terms of skills. Watching your video encourages those like myself who are not sure about trying techniques unfamiliar to us.
Time well spent. To read or watch history is one thing,........to hold it in your hand,to build it,.......is the best way! Enjoy your skill. My hands shake to much and I need glasses to see. But I still enjoy this ANCIENT hobby. Actually I tend to buy built models these days and weather them or a lite flat black wash to bring out detail. Very nice collection.
Scale Hangar 182 I have hundreds of 1/72 and about a hundred 1/32 scale armor and aircraft mostly WWII. I have a large table that I set up dioramas. Storage of built models is crucial to preserving fragile antennas and machine guns. (Even then they still break off)Plastic totes lined with paper towels.
Scale Hangar 182 I use “see through”plastic totes, the type that are long and wide and just tall enough. The type that slide under your bed. This allows stacking. Just line them with paper towel,..so they don’t slide. No dust,no broken parts. And very cheap! And somewhat organized! If you want look up Markwsolarzvideos on you tube. Watch the video”Mason prophet...remember”
Impressive model collection, I collect testors military airplane and vehicle models from Michaels and hobby lobby stores, they don't require glue painting or decals
Man you are good. I used to do this with a passion however I need to find time to get back into this. Love how you do weathering and make your models look real.
Brilliant work sofar! Really like your comments on each of the kits. It's awesome to see your progress in improving your skills. Keep on modelling! Greetings from Sweden.
I built the Avenger as a Accurate Minature kit, it was my first non-Revell kit..I loved this one, awesome detail, and my first experience with PE parts..it turned out good(for my limited skill set) Yours is a masterpiece! I loved this video because you were so honest about your growing pains...
very nice collection I bought a big bunch of Revell 1/32 scale models wwII airplanes fighters mostly now I'm retired and going to work on them all 60's and 70's models
Wow, what a collection. Good job! I suggest you put all your models in a glass display cabinet or place an opening glass display panel on your shelves. This way you will keep them safe from dust and unauthorized hands. It also makes your collection appear professional like a miniature museum instead of a hobby shop or a toy store. That’s what I did with my entire 1/48 scale aircraft collection. (92 models! All fighters & twin engined bombers - props & jets) Best to you on your future builds. There are always future upcoming new kits to build. 👍
Brilliant vid, and very funny to hear the laid back and brutal honesty about your early work. It's refreshing in the backslap Olympics that is online modelling. I'm my own harshest critic, and I can't stand online sycophants who leave no room for the criticism that's sometimes necessary to drive us forwards. It's also nice to know that even the most talented amongst us can totally f**k stuff up - it stops people like me from getting too disheartened when we build something that looks depressingly nothing like the box art. Loving your recent builds. Many thanks for your vids, and for the look at your collection.
Thank you very much for your comment. Whatever your skill is, keep building models if you love this. You are doing it for.yourself not for others, be proud of any one of them but try new techniques each build, don't be afraid to fuck up, we all have to fall to stand up again.
Just found your channel and I have to say I LOVE YOUR WORK............all the ones that you said were bad builds I thought looked amazing, I personally like to place my planes in a diarama and I am currently working on HUGE country airfield to display all kinds of aircraft. and helicopters. YOU ARE AMAZING, thank you for sharing your work :)
