Yes, I too can relate to checking out the underwear section of newspapers, magazines. Then it got to where I’d follow the models around, since a lot of them worked for others. I’m glad things worked out for you and your family. Most often it takes time and understanding/educating oneself before they can really know what’s it like. Like you mentioned and I totally agree, most of us won’t hate ourselves, we simply need to come to come to a point of acceptance, that this is who we are, and God doesn’t make mistakes! It’s like a badge we wear during out lifetime here on earth, and in the end we all will need to atone for how we lived our life. “ Did we play the victim, and blame others or did we use our God given gifts to help others and our families?” Be well, we come from similar backgrounds as well...Mexican dads! Marc, I watch a lot of these coming out videos. They are all very courageous. Your story will help many, many people come out, because of the brutally candid way you tell it. The drama of your story would make a great movie treatment. I laughed at the part about your phone being on to your Mom while making out in the car. And your father’s struggle to understand what having a gay son means. Be strong, your video can’t help but make your RU-vid followers love you. You are living proof that true beauty is more than skin deep.
I realized my feeling around 12 but I think I knew something was different around 10ish. I never had my first experience until about 16 but I finally came out. Thankfully my family and friends were accepting.

You're quite correct young man, you don't need those types of individuals. When I came out and wanted to bring my boyfriend down from Oregon to the Bay Area in California, my mother didn't want us to come down because she thought we would swish around town. Believe me I an no queen so what it boiled down to was that she thought it ruin her reputation around our small town of Martinez. I basically told her to fuck off and I didn't speak to her for three years, and would have until I died. Eventually she wanted to have a relationship with her son, so it was she who made overtures to start communicating again. But then it was on MY TERMS, NOT HERS AND I DID MAKE HER TOW THE LINE IN DEALING WITH ME AS AT THE TIME I WAS 33.

Nothing like outing yourself to your mom. My best friend at the time outed me to my parents, but they were totally cool with it. They weren't so receptive learning I was atheist. Are you still with the same guy?
