Angel Vollant cool! I’m also interested in medicine. I think Dr. Webb is an inspiration for not only current medical students/residents/fellows, but also high schoolers/aspiring physicians. I can see you have done loads of research on the process! Please update me! And plus - it seems as though you are up early; just as a surgeon would be!

@Angel Vollant yup, im just about as excited as you, probably less which is not something i am proud of, anyways, im in 10th, i have a different route tho, i got 2 years of college after that i shall take MCAT and enter into a med college offers MBBS, im not from west, im from pakistan so here we dont do MD (we have the option but its not the default or popular route) and mbbs courses take 4.5 to 5 years. After that 1 year house job aka internship I think, so thats 6 years of school. Then comes specialising which will take 4 years or 5. So thats 10 to 11 years oh god. Plus 1 year of fellowship. Damnnn im in a longggg route. Wish me luck, goodluxk to u too

I appreciated your simple description and graphic when describing the different spinal surgeries! I'm an OT student and I've recently been having to read Pt's charts post spinal surgery, so hearing more about each procedure is very interesting. It's amazing what you can do as a surgeon, and I'm amazed with patients for going through/healing after ortho surgeries.

Over the years your videos have really showed me how one can really find their true passion and interest when specializing in medicine. You rotate in Med school. Residency. And fellowship!? Wow! Once your are done with fellowship it is insane to think there is still so much that you haven’t seen yet😲. Rather than making a statement about what you should or shouldn’t make a video on( when I read those in my opinion they sound rude and aggressive). Have you ever considered the pros and cons of traveling abroad say to 3rd world countries to get an idea of more rare infirmities??

Not sure if you’ve mentioned it before, but what were your motivations to pursue a spine fellowship as opposed to the other options? I’m interested in ortho/spine, due a previous back injury I had and the surgeon took so much of the pain away and I was immediately inspired by the results.

Pre-med student here, but in my experience EMT and medical scribing have both been very beneficial. As an EMT I have gained great clinical experience in the field. Many times you are the sole medical provider on scene (at least until the medics arrive for more serious cases). Scribing is pretty much a paid shadowing job, and since you come across many other specialties while working here you can ask them to shadow in person. In the past week I've gotten the contact information of a plastic surgeon, and a cardiologist. If you have any questions let me know.

You can do CNA too (that’s what I did, back when you could challenge the test...I did it and saved a lot of money instead of doing an entire course)...CNA is a hard job though but it betters your bedside mannerisms bc it’s very intimate
