That is a great selection Dave, I love King Of Queens too I had the complete series on DVD, when I had DVDs I had well over 50 TV shows on the go (gave them all to my daughter when I switched to bluray) quite a few that I haven't heard of in there as well, look forward to seeing the rest mate, take care.👍😀👍
Hey mate! Hope all is going well in the UK. Great vid as alway, for all the great content you put out, these type are my favourites, just chatting about random shows/ movies to camera Others have mentioned Seinfeld and idiot abroad, I’ll throw a good uk one that I think you would love, The Young Ones, loved that show
Hey mate. Going well thanks! Thanks heaps, appreciated. Can’t stand Seinfeld. I do have Idiot Abroad, and it’s one of my favourites ever - I keep it with my “special interest” stuff though. Have watched Young Ones a long time ago, but never bought it.
Haha me too. It's kinda just laughing at nerds. There are no jokes, just nerdy references, and laugh tracks. And they do creepy stuff and play the quirky card.
You filmed before you left! Good on you! I was sure you wouldn't upload this video for a year or more. Did you film any more before you left? I was super excited when you got to Frasier. My girlfriend introduced me to it about 3 years ago and it was an instant favorite. I noticed something and have a question. Do you consider comedy travel shows comedies or travel shows? The reason I ask is because I didn't see any Karl Pilkington with all the Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant shows like An Idiot Abroad or The Moaning of Life. I'm genuinely curious if you separate them or don't like them for whatever reason. Stephen Fry's America is the same kind of show in a way too. Also wanted to ask, Do you separate classic comedic sitcoms from more recent ones? Great Video Dave! Thank You!
Haha, I thought you'd be happy. Yep, I spent a couple of afternoons filming these before I left -- I have another 3 ready to upload over the next few weeks. Frasier is one of the greatest shows ever -- I remember watching it when it was first on TV. I was very young, but even then I knew there was something so smart and special about it. I absolutely love Idiot Abroad and Moaning of Life. I would probably actually say that Idiot Abroad is just about the funniest thing ever made. It makes me laugh like nothing else. Keen observation -- while I certainly consider it a comedy, I keep it filed away with my travel / natural history / special interest collection. Haven't filmed that yet -- but one day. As for classic comedies -- yes, part 3 will focus on classic tv (part 4 is animation)! Pleasure mate, thanks heaps.
So many great shows! Of those, I love Frasier, Friends, Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Mr. Bean (one of my faves), The Office (US probably my favourite show), Parks & Rec & Shameless.
Awesome collection dude! Just started getting into Parks & Recreation. Definitely gotta start collecting the DVDs. Ron Swanson is such a great character
It's better to think that season 9 of Scrubs just never happened, because it really was a completely different show and should have been a spin-off rather than season 9. Season 8 had a perfect finale for the entire series, and it's absolutely worth watching up until then. One of the best TV comedies ever.
just watched this vid, great stuff. I have a pretty big TV collection myself, 2 bookshelves worth. I have seen Blu Ray Seasons of Entourage at Cheap as Chips for only $5 each! it's annoying when they don't finish a series here, WB and FOX are guilty of this. WB never released seasons 5 onwards of Full House, Fresh Prince Seasons 5&6 (4 was released here), Alf Seasons 3&4. FOX never released seasons 7 onwards of Its Always Sunny, King of the Hill season 6 onwards and so on. If I would buy half a series in a box set I would at least throw out the cardboard slipcase if they come in amarays inside, it would just look weird on the shelf and out of place.
Thanks heaps mate. Yeah, you can get the Entourage boxset for like $45 when they do the Buy 1 Get 1 Free sales. Never been interested enough to upgrade though. One day, maybe. I can just never understand the distributors releasing half a series or one or two seasons and not the rest. Drives me nuts. Worst is when they release all seasons except for one, then make the final season exclusive to a “complete box set”. They did that to me with Mork & Mindy and Rocko’s Modern Life. Complete disregard of the customers who made the lines successful in the first place. So disrespectful to expect the original customers to buy them all again to get that one final season.
Mr Lee, do you know the 1959 series „The Honeymooners“ with Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, Audrey Meadows and Joyce Randolph? It is probably the funniest Series ever, watched the whole series 7 times already and I still laugh out lout when I see an episode! If not, you should definitely check it out on You Tube or on DVD. There is only one Season with 39 Episodes, all Episodes being about 25/26 minutes long. Jackie Gleason plays a New Yorker busdriver Ralph Kramden who is married to Alice (played by Audrey Meadows). He has a pretty nutty neighbor Ed Norton (Art Carney) who is married to Trixie (Joyce Randolph). The fun comes from Ralph always getting himself into trouble and needing Norton to get him out of trouble. Please check it out! Thank you for answering!
Absolutely do. I have the original series on Blu-ray, but you’ll see it on one of the next collection videos focusing on “classic TV”. I believe there was also a number of hour-long TV specials in the 60s/70s as well - in colour!
Most likely nothing prior to the merger - same way I won’t add Pre or Post Disney Miramax titles to my Disney collection and won’t add any of the DreamWorks / Touchstone titles. Only exception is, of course, Star Wars.
Do you own Game of Thrones? I bought the first season to try it out and I really liked it, so I also second season, now I can't wait to watch season3!! If you haven't seen it you have to check it out!
Have you seen Who Is America yet? It is a really funny Sacha Baron Cohen show. I would recommend checking it out if you haven't :) (Brooklyn Nine Nine is also FANTASTIC)
