Great video. Looks like some simple, but robust gear. Just the way I like it. I think I'll have to say the MSR pan is my favorite of what you showed. Looks fairly easy to store, and you're not wasting space throwing things inside of it. I do the same. Thanks for posting.

A useful setup for a single lightweight hiker. I do like a larger pot on occasion for cooking up whatever I can scrounge up as I go along. Using onions, garlic, fresh meat etc, usually for two. Reminds me, I must get out again soon. Thanks for the vid.

Replace that lighter with a bic then get a zip strip and put it on the lighter so 5hat it stops the gas button from being pushed down. You will like it much better. The bic is a little more refined and will use less gas than that cricket lighter. Plus its alot more dependable of a lighter as fare as plastic lighters go. I like yellow lighters because i can hold them up to the light or sun or even a flash light to see how much is in it. Yellow white or any light color will work for that.

All pots get discolored from heat, soot and heated oil if you actually use them..

Paul Mitchell Zebra make their own version of these but the ones in the video are MSR. I’ve tried both and definitely prefer the MSR version, that said for billy cans I would only ever use Zebra.

@@WoodcraftHamster why do you prefer msr stowaway compared to zebra 14cm pot (the one similar to stowaway)?
