My Country Too 

Oysterband has managed to be our voice, the voice of reason, of a decent left wing, of compassion and insight for a long, long time. Thank you, with all my heart, for being a part of all this.

This speaks to my heart John Jones......... my country too has been appropriated.......... by Trump......... Oysterband is my favorite band; seen them twice in Nettlebed and at Stepping Stones. They are wonderful, down to earth genuine people.

I have loved the Oysterband for 30 years . I'm a council house kid from Oldham but have always aspired not to be .... I have never completely agreed with the Oysters political views - but so what . They do great tunes, from the heart, and genuinely believe what they are singing about. We live in a great country where everyone's view has a platform to be heard. The Oysters do the best platform on the planet and I bloody love them. Great tune yet again. Looking forward to the 40th anniversary tour - will probably be my 40th gig

Recent events have reminded mo of this song. Regrettably even more telling than when it was first written - a pearl of a song.

Excellent - what I loved about 'my country' was its acceptance of foreigners, its sarcasm and general tolerance of 'the roundhead and the cavalier' (nice line!) Good to see a Brewood Grammar School Old Boy sticking it to the man, Mr P! I'll have to post this on the website!

Brexit is far from a done deal. We need to continue to campaign for the best solution. Especially for the young people of today. Shit, do they want to be stuck forever in May's Britain?

I miss the angry Oysters, The Shouting End Of Life style. When the "right" are destroying our society with their hate and division we need more voices of objection, intelligence and reason, not that the "right" have the capacity to understand those points. May, Johnson, Gove and the talking Freddo Bar Farage......... grrrrrr. Anyway, Exeter tonight to see the lads and I shall be singing along to this.
