I love how real and fun you are. Trash can is amazing! I have been stamping for 30 years and have so much stuff! I love how simplified and organized your space is. Thanks for sharing!
Good to know someone else crafts in a small space like I do. I think you have all your supplies organized in a way that works for you. My "studio" is a corner of a large bedroom - no Ikea shelving or custom drawers or bins, just mainly wire racks and a bookcase alongside a desk. It works for me. Thank you for this video.
Oh thanks, Teresa! I thought that was clever and it is very convenient. I know some kitchens have that idea, so I thought I would try it with paper crafting.
You are amazing my friend!! Look at how many have viewed your craft room video! You are loved because of your honesty and transparency and REALNESS!! You do so much with not even having a large craft space or craft room!! You make me realize that I spend too much time on organizing which keeps me from creating!!
Thank you so much, Annemarie! I appreciate your feedback and encouragement so much!!!!!!! I definitely do that...organize instead of creating. That is one of the main reasons I started posting my projects so that I would "have to" create one project a week.
Juli, it's so encouraging to see that you create your beautiful cards in a small space. This feels so relatable - some creators have large craft rooms filled with Ikea units, something out of reach for me. My work table is a folding table raised up on flat 2x4s to make it just the right height for me, so don't feel embarrased by your Tupperware risers! I love your emphasis on using scraps and will be putting my 6x6 paper in page protectors as you've demonstrated. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I store my paper in sheet protectors too! Hint: I realized a long time ago that I needed a full sheet in the protector for several reasons. 1: it stabilizes the file folder, card bases on one side small scraps on the other. 2: master sheets, meaning I have a full size reference sheet for checking colors.
Julie, I've kept my stamp sets in bins for many years just like you do. I even still have a few old sets still on wooden blocks and they are in bins too. Works best for me. Thanks for sharing your room with us.
Thanks for being transparent with your reveal!! I also do not have space for a large craft room so your reveal gave me ideas for a small craft space. Thank you for sharing your craft space!
Hi Juli, I so look forward to receiving your emails early Saturday morning in Australia. Thank you for showing your craft room, you are actually very organised. Have a great week-end.
Your craft space is so well organized. I loved the clever path to the trash can! You have nothing to be embarrassed about. You have made use of every square inch of space. Thanks for showing it to us. Enjoy your day!
I don't have a craft room either. I use my bedroom closet to store my crafts in, paper, my dies( no machine for them. I have my stencils, specialty paper my tools for cutting etc.
Haha! Gotta keep it real! That being said, I totally cleaned up before going on camera. You should see it when I am in the midst of creating something.
I wish I was able to do what you have done. I do think you have saved my life on how to organize better.. I’m having difficulty getting started with this new adventure because I’m so disorganized. Thank you thank you thank you.!!
neat craft room.... Love your set up. I used to work on a 2x3 foot table and bins and roller carts all near to store stuff. Have a real desk now and feel blessed. You're made your space work perfectly!
Loved watching your craft room reveal and how unpretentious you are. Loved the wallpaper idea. I use my dad’s old desk and for sentimental reasons, I cannot part with it.
If you saw my craft room, you would be saying "How can she find anything"? It is about 14' x 28', contains 3 large book shelves, 5 rolling carts (for cuttlebugs and cutting machines), 4 desks, and several Pendaflex hanging folders carts for paper. I spend more time organizing and re-organizing because I don't throw anything away. But I love that room!!!!
Thanks for sharing! I like the fact that you use what you have and you are so creative and resourceful! I love it! You inspire me to organize my space better.
I love your craft room, it’s beautiful. Sadly I use my kitchen counter for my crafting, but want to clean out my garage and use part of it for my crafting❤😊thank you for sharing
I absolutely LOVE everything about your crafting/creating space! What your wonderful room reminds me is: minimalism is best. Simplifying is the key to creative processes. So: I say that and then I look around MY bedroom crafting space. Lol Lol I. Have. So. Much. Work to do. hahahahahaha I simply can't get rid of one, single stamp set. :-) Thank you SO much for the inspiration and I am stealing some of your tips for sure. :-)
That’s awesome! I don’t have quite the amount of desk space but your office tour certainly gave me some good ideas. And who knew Tupperware was so versatile. I only own about ten ink pads at the moment so thinking I need to get the organizers as I collect. Thank you
I like your set up, I use a small room in our house that has a huge handmade wooden desk that husband got as a gift. So I have a space next to that I can use on a flat surface and I use a cart for other supplies. I guess I should place my paper upright like yours but a paper salesman ( at work) said that bends it and should be stacked flat. That makes it hard to find the colors for me.
Oh that is great! Yes, I was concerned that my paper would warp, but I have stored it like that for over 2 years and have not had an issue. Maybe it is because Stampin' Up! paper is so thick and sturdy.
Good Morning!! I love your craft room, you have everything soooo organized!! My craft room is a hot, hot mess! Thank you so much for sharing!! Happy International Women's Day! Yay! It's OUR day!!
Thank you so much for watching, Linda!!! Oh my craft space definitely gets messy...especially when I am coming up with new ideas. That is when that big bed comes in handy. It ends up getting covered in papers!
What a neat video! Your house looks soooo much like the one I had before I got a new job and moved to a different city. I miss my house! 🙁 What fun you must have had organizing everything. You’re so creative, even in how you repurpose furniture. I continue to be impressed! Thank you, Juli!
I use the boxes for photos to store my stamp sets in and labeled the outside of the boxes. I have random items stored in various things that don't match at all either. We must like to think outside the box. Maybe we have to get more creative that way. So enjoy your videos they are very entertaining and I always seem to pick up great tips and tricks as well.@@SunnyDayStamping
I was complaining that Ihave no actual space dedicated to my hobbies or work, but you just showed me that a neat place is enough to let your imagination fly! thanks for the reveal.
You are so funny! Thank you for showing us your craft room/bedroom! Ha! Some people have super expensive/amazing work areas and furnishings, but you show that we really don't need all of that!!!
Thank you so much for watching, Barbara! I guess I should have showed you my closet that is full of yarn and sewing stuff and more paper crafting stuff I don't use. Hahaha
I love this video!! You are so funny. I truly enjoy watching your videos. Thank you so much for being open and willing to share. My craft area too was in a corner of my bedroom. Thank you to your son also for videoing
Mercy.. How neat your room is,and organized!!. I took over my oldest son's room after he got married.took bed,and Chester drawers out and put a bunch of shelves..and it was my sewing and quilting room. It still is and then got into "Card making".. and I'm running out of room..and space to put everything.. my inks, dies, embossing folders etc. I've put my dies on magnetic sheet and put into lg.3 d ring binders. Now how you find a place for them. Enough.. you are organized.. I think there's hope for me? My husband, doesn't think so. Lol Thanks for sharing.
Hahhaa! Oh Laura, this made me laugh!!!! Well, I didn't show you all of my mess. I have a closet of yarn, sewing stuff, paper, and other crafty things. Even stuff crafty stuff my kids didn't use when they were little in case young kids come over. Hahah!
Love it! Ha ha I wish I could speed up/fast forward myself in Real time to do the organizing like we can on video Reel time , but I'm glad you got yours done & showed us!! Thanks
Thank u 4 being honest. U have nothing 2 b a shamed of or embarrassed about. Your craft area is much much much much organized & majorly cleaned up compared 2 my craft room. My craft room looks like world War 3 & 4. I love your cutting up of scraps dropping them down in between the 2 tables & it lands in the garbage can underneath. I love the idea of using wallpaper 2 give your work area a beautiful look. Have a great, blessed day.
Love it! My craft space is in my bedroom too, so I found your video particularly helpful. I got several ideas from watching you! One thing for sure is that I need to do some purging! I love your paper tips. Do you have every color or do you narrow it down to favorite ones? I separate my dies too. Works well for me. My next goal is to buy the blend markers. You are such a doll and always make me feel happy! Thank you for sharing!
Oh thank you so much! You are so kind!!! I do have every color of cardstock and inks because it just gives me way more options and I love options! Hahaha! Stampin' Blends markers are so much fun to use and really a joy to work with. I highly recommend!
Hi! You are just the happiest person on RU-vid. I love watching your videos. Your eyes just sparkle with life, so refreshing. I love your craft space. I am fortunate to have a craft room, but man would I love to have it in my bedroom, quick easy access 😂 My husband would for sure divorce me if I took up anymore space in our home LOL. What is the name of the stamp organizer? I searched the Stampin’ Up site but could not find it. Stay beautiful!
Thank you for sharing this, Juli! I like the idea of covering a desk with wallpaper! I loved watching you put your stamp storage together on fast speed! Fun!
Nice! No need to be embarrassed, we all craft where we can and you have comfy rest spot for breaks! Love the organization you have. I have the end of a dining room table lol.
That is a really great space! I think it is organized very well. I am trying to figure out how to get better organized. I am confined to one small room and part of it is taken up by a nonfunctional sink. I have my printer and computer on it along with some other odds and ends. You've given me some ideas that I hope to put in place soon. Thank you for the ideas and for sharing your craft space!
@@SunnyDayStamping Thank you. One other thing I have done is I got a set of 12 plastic shoe boxes that have a door on them that I put a lot of my crafting supplies in. It really helped get rid of a lot of clutter.
You are so inspiring! I enjoy your videos so much and can’t help but feel happy when I watch you create. I enjoy your projects and how you simplify things whenever you can. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely love how you have organised your bed/craft room. I too have a much smaller area in our bedroom and am always looking for better ways to store craft things to keep them tidy. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.
I love it. I see some stamping rooms & I think they're huge. I have a small space so I'm glad to see you have a small space too. How do you store your 12x12 paper? I am currently in the middle of decluttering my sewing / craft space. It had a lot of non sewing / craft items. It's feeling so good to get it organized. Great video. 😊
Thank you so much for watching! Oh rats! I forgot to show that. Under the table where I stored my junk cardstock, I have the 12x12 patterned paper in there in a bin with the other cardstock.
Well, I never would have guessed! I don’t have all the fancy storage and I’m always looking for something vintage like my dad’s old work pigeon hole shelves to use. But I feel very spoilt to have a lot more space than you do. I do share my space with freinds and grandkids though.
@@SunnyDayStamping when I first started sharing my craft and holding classes, I would have to get everything out I needed and bring it to the dining room table and/or kitchen bench. Then I used a small round table in the ‘snug’. My favourite addition has been a hundred year old dining table I stripped back and now we can fit 6 people if we have to. Like you, I love to repurpose furniture. Almost all my furniture used to belong to someone else! Even my beautiful kitchen island bench came from a table I bought on Gumtree. I use old DVD storage for my SU stamps. And REALLY old video storage for the OLD SU wood mounted stamps. (From the op shop). Some of my inks and punches are in a small shelving unit that was once the shelves for the Bible verses and hymns from our church. I LOVE that!
what a dream, I have sooo much stuff, my goal this year is to down size and get rid of things and to stop buying! it has to be a really good deal and a really good item I will use a lot. My demonstrators are in for a shock , not buying so much this year.
:) It does feel good to have it not cluttered. I do have extra stamp sets in the closet to sell or give away some time. I don't like it to get too messy.
Oh gosh. Physical reasons caused me to turn our living room into my craft/sewing area. It's now so unorganized, and I am unable to clean it up. Cannot find a comfortable chair. It's such an issue. Need shelves or something. I'd like to move it all to our small bedroom. Husband does not agree. I could take stairlift up there. Ugh!
Hi Ladonna! Oh I totally forgot to show where I keep my patterned papers. They were under the desk with the extra paper. I keep it in an open bin standing up like my other papers. I keep the scraps in page protectors.
Hi Sally! I totally forgot to show that close up!!! It was under the table with my extra cardstock. I keep it in an open bin just standing on end. The scraps and 6X6" pieces are in page protectors.
