my crt tv makes a whining noise and doesn't turn on 

It could be many things such as: capacitors, humidity, power supply failure, or even the Flyback is broken.

The CRT is crying because it just does not want to wake up

It's probably the power supply in side of the tv its self. Open it up and see whats up, that crt is most likely fixeble

update: i harvested some components and threw it away lol

This crt needs restoration

It’s most likely a problem with the crt itself or it’s not getting enough power, I’d recommend a different power cable or outlet, but if that doesn’t work than idk what to do

Tube may be bad Check wiring to electron gun

Check the tube and see if the vacuum tube turns on (yellow or beige)

Tv is not working. 😢

Lick the electrical outlet and see if that helps
