Well made video, I really wish I had recorded more solves when I started off. I would say your biggest improvement is to avoid doing random moves. It might feel dumb to sit there looking at the cube but if you make it a habit to do a random u move for recognition or similar, it'll be way harder to learn proper recognition techniques. Same thing for f2l, it's often thought of as an alg set to learn but I recommend you just experiment with pairs doing untimed solves, almost everything can be paired up with a single trigger (R U R', L U L', R U' R', etc). It's gonna suck for a while when you have to pause to recognize but the pause will eventually go away and you'll speed up. As opposed to what you do right now, where you're doing moves the whole time but a lot of them aren't needed. You've got this, it's what basically everyone struggles with (I average almost sub 10--8.87 official ao5 and I promise you can get there too and beyond).

I just wanted to say that this was exactly my progression for cfop, but around when i got my first sub 20 average, i quit cubing. Cfop got old and was eventually too algorithmic for me. I took a break from cubing and reciting my algorithms and came back to cubing a year later. I tried ZZ, which has way less algorithms. I got some sub 20s and then switched to roux. I now am averaging 24 seconds, and would just recommend that if your progress starts slowing down and you get bored that you try other methods.

Если для тебя какой-то метод слишком алгоритмичный, то просто не используй алгоритмы, в чём проблема? Пробуй додуматься до новых решений сам. Не ищи универсальных решений, учись находить самые эффективные прямо сейчас.

im exactly at your level right now i average 18-20 seconds(with a 1dollar cube due to poverty) but one big tip i would give you is learning X cross or cross + 1 and also improving your f2l to be regrip less these tips made me get my 13.10 pb fullstep love you video great and simple dit you gained my sub ❤

I don't recommend learning x Cross, that only works when you are sub 15 or less. I average around 9-12 seconds and my record is 6.51, but it starts to show when you are sub 13.

you are averaging the same as me rn!! sub 25, and some sub 20s! although i got an ao5 and ao12 sub 20, i dont consider myself sub 20 because I usually get about 22-23 seconds if you just ask me to do a solve. I have been cubing for about 1 year and a half (im 12 and i started when i was almost 11). but im lucky bc i watched videos that helped me improve my times insanely, so I improved really fast. I have learned full PLL, and i know 31 algorithms of full OLL. And after im planning to learn the F2L cases (I think there are 42 but im not sure). My main is the tornado v3 flagship, before it was the moyu super rs3m ball core, but that broke :(. and i havent said this for some reason yet but it was a great video!!! And btw, what cube are you using at the end? im intrested to know!

It’s probably because I do it whenever I choose to and for fun. I’m not really trying to reach the lowest I can the in the shortest time.
