@@itsmefaith4833 I can't tell you not to be nervous cuz I am always nervous lol but just remember reverting completely back to curls may take a wash day or two or three which is normal. Just make sure you have a nice clarifying shampoo for your first wash so that you can get the silcones out of your hair and have a treatment that promotes elasticity/strength or even something that talks about bond rebuilding (like olaplex or the curlsmith bond salve) to help your curls bounce back. If you already know all these things you can ignore my unsolicited advice hahaha enjoy your silk press ❤
@@delucastudios3097 prose is very pricey, but the products are really good and worked for my hair. I did stop the subscription because I find there are more affordable options available that do the same thing.
@@delucastudios3097 oh, the color wow worked well also, but I didn’t do as hood of a job straightening as she did 🤣 so I was ready to wash it out quickly. I had to wash a couple times but my hair reverted. I literally pre pooed and allowed the water to run for 2 min
Because color wow is such a good anti-humidity product, I figured you wouldn't really see good reversion until after you put some type of cleanser with a a good detergent (break up the product) and surfactant (wetting agent to help it spread over and saturate your strands). Your hair looks healthy to me.
@@gummy5862 you definitely have to get those silicones and overall product buildup off your hair. That’s why it appeared like her hair wasn’t reverting. That happens with other products too. It always resists water at first. But she was doing the wow thing to be more interesting 💯
I applied it last week, and flat ironed. First wash today, my hair was back to normal. I also flat ironed again today and yes the product is still working. I’m in Arkansas and it’s gets humid and sticky here but my hair is still bomb!
That's what I was wondering about - are there special instructions for the first washes that the product is still supposed to work for? Thanks for reporting back!
@@quirkyviper There wasn’t any special instructions for wash day. just wash as usual. I did chi moisture shampoo and thermal treatment conditioner. Next, for leave ins, chi keratin mist (protein) and chi total protect (moisture) and chi silk infusion then blow dry and flat iron.
It’s truly a fabulous product. For anyone reading, using a clarifying or sulphate shampoo will cause this product to rinse out faster, so it would be wise to potentially add a light amount of product in your hair for your next blow dry to ensure your strands are protected.
The look on your face after a minute of wetting your hair is priceless 😲 I was scared 😳 for a minute, so happy to see the curls are still curling 🥰🤗...Fyi your editing game was sick🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥
It was great to see a hair video! The color wow holds true to the name because it was still repelling a good amount of water. I’m so glad that the curls came back! Great video!
Always use clarifying shampoo to shampoo products out… it opens the cuticles up to apply conditioner so the hair shaft can get moisture…rinse and proceed
I have plenty of confidence. What I don’t need is someone judging my characteristics based off a RU-vid title. Sit back and enjoy the content. Everything else isn’t necessary
Those of us that have curls that are straight when wet in the shower...we have to wait until the styling process and it's starting to dry before we can tell if it's damaged. Scary process.
Whew! Girl I was scared. Omg I'm so glad there was no damage! Now, I can use this product... it's be on my shelf for a couple of weeks lol. See you on the next one
A lot of people may not know this, but this product is a mini keratin treatment. I found that out when digging deep on the product page on Amazon. So, it would depend on other factors, like how your hair responds to keratin. That's also why it takes a few washes to get it out.
Girl!!!!! Talk about heart attack !!! Why you do us like that!!! I mean I know we need to pull people in but bay bay. I just put the ish in my hair too and I was like ummmmmm 😶 (pause) this ain’t it. 😂 thank you for keeping us updated.
gurl my heart was skipping as if it was playing jump rope when the hair wasn't reverting. Curls look bomb tho. I wasn't aware there are protein-heavy deep conditioners u just put me on. thanks gurl. I got a question tho. Did the color wow product make ur hair feel rough and coarse like some hair waxes do when you"re trying to wash it off or was it ohk?
GURRRRLLLLL the commentary while you are washing your hair had me 😂 but 😭 too after my experience with using Color Wows Dream Coat. The dream became a nightmare real fast! The comentary was everything and more that has been going through my head since I realized this product caused me to have a severe case of allergic contact dermatitis due to the toxic ingredients in it. I am sure many others are having an allergic reation to it too, but think when it starts 'oh it's just seasonal allergies' until it gets so damned bad you're like I think I need to go to the ER because oh hell no this is NOT seasonal allergies! You have such beautiful hair please don't use this product anymore because it is so so baaadddd and with long term use it will damage your hair... no no no! It is a nightmare in bottle.
I really thought your hair was going to say nope, nope, not today, not reverting, but I'm glade to see your curls came back, and you hair looks healthy so that's a plus. Great video,
Your face in the shower was me in October 2022 when I realized the Dominican salon did way too many passes. Still transitioning from it 🥺 glad yours was ok though
This video sure did send folks flocking to Sephorah... because I did ask my hair guy about it, and proceeded to Sephorah where I bought the mini. The full size was sold out indeed.
I’m so sad I tried both of this product, one for straight hair and one for curls on my 3b/c hair (on separate occasions). The one for curls didn’t do anything for me in terms of controlling frizz and left my hair feeling pretty dry. Tried the other product today when I straightened my hair and my hair is SO staticky this has never happened before I’m devastated 😩😩 I can’t style it at all, the static won’t allow me to do anything.. as soon as I try to style it the static literally makes it super frizzy and looking a hot mess. Only thing I can do now is wash it out and super upset it’ll take me 3-4 washes to get this crap out of my hair 😭
I'm just wondering if you should have used a sulphate shampoo for the first shampoo as the product you used has sulphates in there. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if there is still some of the product in your hair but overall I'm glad no damage was done 💙💜
PLEASE PLEASE do NOT use it unless you want to lose ALL BODY and CURL from your hair!!! I use a curling iron and it will not last 30 mins! I was a hair dresser for twelve years and I have not found a resolution for using this product ( Only used it ONCE ). I have naturally curly hair and typically my curls will last for three+ days. Not with WOW! Your hair will be flat and limp and hear me when I say this… it doesn’t matter what product you try It will not correct using WOW. Time is the only thing that will fix it!!!!
Can you do a vid to see if it works with curling iron curls...that would be bomb if this product could let you curl your hair without risking frizz in humidity!
crying I use this product 1 month ago and my curls are not coming back I did everything I wash 100 times did everything my kinky hair curly is not coming back 😢😢
which clarifying shampoos do you suggest? i used the mielle rosemary mint one but curl isnt always the way there from the leave out i had loll. but this is just one wash so far
