Recovery has to be your first priority. Even if you choose to work part time, adding a snack in is necessary! For example, you could have had a high energy drink whilst on the way home? I realize you Are trying to increase, and allowing your Dad to make decisions/food is a good step, but working is also burning a lot of calories. You mention a lot that you're thinking about food, but not having snacks is not going to help you get to a healthy weight. Btw, I fully support your efforts here, it is my opinion though you're not All IN Recovery, as you claim to be. I would encourage you to add 2-3 snacks throughout the day, as you would have in hospital.

Totally agree recovery is my priority. Work is essential too. That’s a good idea something for on the way home sounds good. This day was not how everyday looks most of my days are filled with snacks but this was just this particular day. I may just also add recovery is completely different for everyone whether that’s ‘all in’ or not everybody is going to have their own ways within that category. I agree that not eating anything between breakfast and lunch is probably not good for you! That is a long time, especially as someone coming out of restriction, and all your symptoms then point to your body and brain just not having enough fuel - not able to focus, thoughts completely obsessed with food...

100% agree with you it’s not a nice feeling either when you acknowledge your concentration disappears. On this day I was working and sometimes I’m unable to have something at work until I get home because I’m part time I don’t work ‘long enough’ to have breaks.

Such a good challenge and you did great! But perhaps its a good time to add a morning snack. Between six and twelve you need food as well. Ofcourse your body will be shouting for food by the time you leave work. It will for sure help woth the struggle to focus

Thankyou so much :)) usually I would always always have something inbetween but on this day I couldn’t because I was at work, I work part time and so on my shifts I’m not having a break. On these days I’m always making sure I still have plenty of food however it is a struggle sometimes to have to go for long periods on the days when I’m working. Thankyou so much for the comment 🫶🏻

Yep totally agree with this. Even if you are working Demi, you need to find a way to make sure you make up for it, either before or after (or a pre made high calorie drink during work)... working is a part of life and right now, recovery and healing your body has to be your number 1 priority

@@Demiproudman Im glad you keep yourself accountable and i know hard it is, balancing recovery and work. Ive tried to do the same for years. You deserve and need all nourishment in these times (and after)

Not sure what type of work you do? Can you eat something quickly and discretely whilst working? Maybe a few dates and some nuts or a banana or something, or Maybe this is something you can discuss with your boss, to get a short break in between to have a snack?

Hey Demi, I totally get that rush feeling you were talking about. Not sure why, I think it is just some type of natural coping way to still being in calorie deficit and where food is still high priority compared to someone in a non deficit if that makes sense. I really got to try oats cos your breakfast is tops. Am so proud of you doing so well and giving inspo from your choices and example, yours is like the best channel for me. Thank you X

Hey! It’s so strange isn’t it I almost somewhat feel panicked when I become hungry, this is on days when I have snacks as well it doesn’t matter what I’m doing or where I am as soon as I’m hungry I start panicking and up until I eat it’s like a big rush in my mind! I’m sorry that you also experience this. You should definitely give the oats a try I’m sure you will love them! Thankyou so sooo much honestly it really means a lot, sending all my love
