I’m Canadian. Uk slang and Toronto slang are almost identical. The accent is just different. So Drake doesn’t try to sound British on drill songs, he’s just flowing like a Toronto mans. The rest of world doesn’t know anything about Toronto so they just assume it’s a UK sound.
almost identical is a push it used to be almost identical but toronto has kinda left us now and made their own identity. as someone from the UK alot of newer toronto music uses stuff even I dont understand wheras back several years ago it used to be quite easy to understand most things
