The reason why hopsin mention joyner is because joyner use to open up at hopsin shows and now joyner is bigger then hopsin. I knew this because I went to a hopsin show and that's how I met joyner before joyner blew up

The evil spirit is his self-conscience. There are no actual evil spirits, or “demonic” spirits, only self. I think to blame an outside entity is a cop out and doesn’t allow someone to self reflect and improve themselves.

Joyner was the opener for hop in 2012/2013 and now Joyner is more successful. I think this is what he's talking about cause his buddy now surpassed him. I think he's not jealous but his thoughts when he was in his depressiv state made him think that he isn't worth it anymore.
