I love y'alls reactions. I grew up in a very racists family. To the point to where I had to go to private schools, just so I could not have any contact with black people. So I was thalt to hate black people growing up. Then when I was 19 I went into the oilfield and talked to my first black man and we became like brothers. My family disowned me cuz of it,but I will not hate a man by his color. How a man our woman represents themselves is how you sould look at them not there color. Your dad seems like a smart and good man I wish I would had that kind of father growing up to teach me You are blessed. Keep up the good work.

Thank You for understanding exactly what Tom meant by this song. He did an interview stating that the whole reason behind this song was not to say “This is how every P.O.C. feels, thinks, or believes in.” It was to share a message from his perspective of what he believes would be his personal feels, thoughts, & believes. And it took Tom saying to Nova(his gf) “If I was Black I’d Want my hair like that guys” as he noticed a young black gentleman who had an “awesome hair style”(as Tom said), for him to realize, “WOW!.....why do we have to clarify/specifically state the color of someone’s skin, to show love, give respect, have gratitude, or to sincerely appreciate another person?” So he immediately went home & wrote this song for the rest of the evening & was finished by the next day. He felt that he needed to take a step into the imaginary shoes of a P.O.C. & express how he would feel if he was a Black Man. Also this is the counterpart of “Straight White Male” so we can see how “America” portrays White Men to Black Men in America. IMHO, I believe that it was a great move on Toms part because so many people have hated on him for being a “White Man” & so many have hated on him for “Acting like a Black Man”, as if there has NEVER EVER EVER EVER ONCE BEFORE HIM BEEN ONE SINGLE WHITE MAN WHO HAS BEEN A SUCCESSFUL HIPHOP/RAP ARTIST. Like seriously people it’s 2020 & why can you not understand that we are all humans living on this exact same planet, we are all doing the exact same things as each other, we wake up, we work(legit job, hustling, raising our children, supporting our families), we eat, we breathe, we bathe, we sleep, & donut all over again the next day. We do not have to continue the hate, negativity, rudeness, & loathing. It’s senseless people, if we want something different then we have to be the start of that by doing something different! If not than life will not change nor will it get any better whatsoever. It’s not that hard to start small, just by not saying anything negative about yourself or to anyone else. That’s all it takes to start small....

I was raised in a Christian conservative home. If I had a friend that said anything racist, my parents would show them to the door and firmly let me know, we don't associate with people like that. I was not aware of racism till I went to school. First time I heard about racism, my girlfriend told my friend she didn't hang around &^#$%. I didn't understand what she was talking about. Had to ask my older brother. Then when I say, I believe government should treat everyone the same, people say its code for supporting discrimination... Racism has been a problem, I have investigated conservative leaders throughout history, always comes down to support for limited government and ensure people whom support that idea are able to maintain it. Nothing to do with race, that's always been the lefts agenda. I will say, the right is not innocent. The right liberated the slaves, but dogmatic devotion to limited government and individual freedom restrained them from taking action to help the liberated fight the racist they were surrounded by. Eventually, those racist people lost power in their own party, then that party became champions of the black race. Would this have happened, if the right had acted to forcefully end oppression by democrats?? Would the right had lost track of their ideology?? I don't know, but they failed as is. The most clear evidence I could present, take a look at planned parenthood. It has always been on the left. Their message under he white supremacist, we need to stop the undesirables from breeding and specifically mention blacks chief among them. After the supremacist were expelled/voted out of the party, planned parenthood remained and changed their message, We need to help blacks move out of poverty by allowing/encouraging them to have abortions. your children will keep you poor, eliminate them for your own good. If they were doing the same thing to benefit whites, then they are still doing it for the same reason. Only the message has changed.
