People don’t even peep that Joyner prefaced this song with his homie telling him some shit he NEVER DID Double entendre. The first verse and the outro are things his friend NEVER DID believe but faked it like he did And the parts where he asked for money and the other shit is what his homie REALLY FELT and NEVER DID tell Joyner Also, really note the jealous qualities of a snake-like friend They’ll align themselves with you as if they just like you and as good or as bad A Narcissistic Snake ‘I deserve all you have and more and this a bargain’ ‘Don’t forget who’s stories got you rapping again’ ‘I knew one day you would backstab me’

Exactly. Great point. There are a ton of verses with double meanings all through this which is part of why it's so awesome. Feels like a commentary on how people tell us things but we're wondering "Wait did they mean that in a good way or a bad way?" Like the verse of "the friend" talking about he knows the issues and traumas Joyner still faces. He says it as if he's praising him but it also means, "I know all your weaknesses" which gets confirmed after the scene change. Also the one where the friend says "it's hard to trust ppl that's why I keep you closely" which is also a nod to the phrase "Keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer".

One of realest lines I heard was in IDMAN - Down for it. ‘Have you ever met a hater? If you see a fuck nigga play this loud as hell. But I cannot hate you for not seeing for me what you cannot see for yourself”. THATS a hard bar. People project their own failures and insecurities on others. So why be mad that people hate on your goals, when they don’t have goals themselves?

Instead of Joyner touring doing sold out shows he should Tour and do like broadway plays but with his music, have actors the whole 9 yards and just do like musical plays of all his music.
