I love that you give a realistic POV of pumping. There’s so many videos of over-suppliers that it can make one feel disheartened if you make an AVERAGE amount of milk!

Hi guys! I’ve been following along from the start. Tomorrow my son will be 2 months so I feel like we’ve been riding the same roller coaster. This is my second child and breastfeeding this time around has been so much easier. My milk supply with my first was barely there and at times we had to supplement with formula. I was nervous that would be the case with my second but it’s like Niagara Falls over here! The only thing I did different and it sounds silly but is I drink a TON of water everyday. I thought I was drinking enough with my first but I definitely wasn’t. My doctor said I need to be drinking at least two gallons a day to hydrate yourself and then enough to make milk. It seems crazy cause to me 2 gallons is a lot of water but it’s totally doable. I have a 32oz bottle with me at all times and fill that thing up at least 8 times a day (sometimes I drink more). In the video you didn’t mention how much water you drink, maybe you are already doing this but I thought I would share just in case. I wish someone would have told me the first time around. Wishing you all the best, you’re doing a great job and the babe is beautiful!

Definitely a full time job! I never really have time, definitely not through the night I’m feeding my 5 week old formula which takes me about 30-45 minutes every 2 hours or less, and includes throughout the day as well as other chores!

I’m 7 weeks PP and I’m on the same boat as you. I also get the night sweats and I HATE it so much. No one told me about that either.

Tell him I called his behaviour despicable and if he cares about milk so much he should go and find his mummy …. Then ask him to try and induce lactation - men can ;) lol.

Super helpful! If you're worried about supply decreasing, I'd be curious if you might switch back to the non-wearable and see a difference? In my research and anecdotes from friends, the wearables didn't have the same suction strength as the "traditional" and they said it destroyed their supply eventually 😔😔

Hmm that’s definitely something I should try! I used the actual pump for the first month and have been using the hands free one for the second month and my supply has been pretty much the same since the beginning. I have better days here and there, but on average it’s been the same. Now I’m curious about trying the non portable pump again

Im 12 weeks ppl and my baby still wakes up like 7 times at night…how do you get your baby to sleep through the night and wake up just once?😩😩
@kellyandkody

Follow the same routine every single night and I give her a formula bottle before bedtime every night. It’s thicker than breastmilk and I have found that it keeps her full longer, but that’s just what works for me!

@@kellyandkody her pediatrician advised against using formula upto 4 months cause BM is the best for them plus she said there is a chance that babies would not prefer breastmilk anymore if we top up with formula 😩 im confused as to what I should do plus im super sleep deprived
