This father went along with all these customs that some Westerners may have considered as nonsense for the sake of the happiness of his daughter. Since once the daughter was married & moved to the husband's home her connection with her parental home was almost nil.

Even Muslims who were forcibly converted were Hindus and most of them follow certain rituals which are definitely Hindu traditions. ............. In this wedding one can notice various Sanskrit shlokas which are not complete (due to editing) but seems to be Gayatri and other Mantras. Those whoever live in Bharat are all Hindus. 🕉😎

As a Indian I am always blown away when how open minded westerners and particularly Americans are in embracing our culture and traditions. Its super super hard to deal with the culture shock and the on slaught of the crowds, congestions, pollutions, pressures, weather and the indian gaze on them during a wedding and preparations leading to the wedding. It can be very stressful and to smile thru it and keep upp the pressures must be tough. Hats off. Truly admirable. I can tell this couple will be together for 7 lives with kids, grandkids and long happpy married life leaving good footprints on the planet for generations.

I had tears in my eyes as I remembered all these functions & rituals, I went through when my daughter got married in May of 2021. Poor girl flew down from abroad a day before her wedding n within a week she went back abroad again.
